Unless we go down a level of targets 👏

Glad you aren’t running the show. Our recruitment has been incredible not a single miss amongst them.

At some point they will switch to alternative targets that are more straightforward to get, but they're clearly not ready to do so yet. No matter how much people moan about it.

Agreed, but in fairness, we all thought the same last summer [emoji38]

We can’t win.

Getting rid of Mitchell seemed to suggest we would all be on the same page and that this window would be done well.

Now we’re struggling cause we don’t have someone in Mitchell’s role.

Took 2 years to find a set piece coach that would be the right ‘fit’. 2 years.

Thank fuck our team does the business on the pitch because the club is seemingly ran so poorly behind the scenes.

We moved quickly with major bids for Joao Pedro and Ekitike, but those deals were hijacked by the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool. We’ve already brought in Elanga, and right wing was clearly our biggest priority this window.

Yes, we all want more, but let’s not overlook the ambition the club has shown, both in the players we’ve targeted and the fees we’ve been willing to put on the table. I wouldn’t say we’ve been slow at all with Elanga, Joao Pedro or Ekitike. We landed one, and the other two chose clubs further along in their project.

I’d give it a couple more weeks before judging this window as below expectations.

And we’ve grown and improved as a club. We are in the champions league our targets should be high not down several tiers as you can’t be patient

they’ll get it right because they have to

The NUFC transfer rumors thread is back to its bedwetting best. Elanga kinda chilled things out, but we're all fired up again. Back to grilling the owners, board and transfer staff, hoping Amanda comes back, Mitchell was right, whats the scouts been doing and why aren't we going for these type of players, and all that jazz.

He’s not even played yet, never mind classed as a success. 😂

Your point was I assume that we hadn't signed anyone for years. I am informing you that you are wrong. Also at least two more to arrive, 😉

No it wasn’t. The person I was replying to said all of our signings had been a success and there wasn’t a single miss out of any of them.

For what it’s worth, I think Elanga is a good signing.

I would be perfectly happy with unfinished articles and younger less proven players, as long as we have Howe. He's proven to get the best out of players and improve many.

The way we got Bruno, Botman, Hall, Livramento, Gordon, Isak etc. is because the cartel teams must not have believed or trusted they were at the level required and hesitated to rival our bids.

But Howe has helped get the best out of all of them.

Yes we paid big money for many of them, but all of their values have risen. (Botman's injury issues excluded)

Then in future can you please copy and quote? No one seems to know who you are replying to otherwise.

I agree. Though I’m happy if we miss out on top 4 frequently. Are others?
