NUFC Transfer Rumours

Trafford will sign. It’s just brinkmanship. He’s been left off the tour, It appears he’s training by himself and Burnley have already signed his replacement. I’ll be amazed if it doesn’t get done

also I can’t see Howe being happy at being a midfielder down can maybe see a young player loan coming in

I just can’t envisage us working quickly enough to bring 4 players in tbh.

Things always move faster towards the end of the window when there’s less time for negotiating and brinkmanship

as slow as we are if any of Pedro, Delap or Ekitike choose us they’d have been signed (almost signed in Ekitike case) by now

Feel every other post you're posting is about us being slow

Well it’s a massive summer transfer window and we are quite slow in general. Kind of natural that this comes up quite often tbf.
Hopefully things can move quickly soon, because it’s massively important that we do. Failure isn’t an option.

Fingers crossed, would hope for at least two in by the first game.

A lot of our deals are late July and into August. I know we all want them quicker but just have to get used to how we work.

its worth noting Isak was late August and we wouldn’t have got him had we done the quicker deals

Got to imagine Burnley will want money in to strengthen so Trafford will get done soon. I’m sure of it

As always we should save judgement until the window closes.

Frustrating but fairest way.

Isak/Bruno/Tonali will be expecting the club to match their ambitions. Bruno vocally expressed this in post last game of the season interview that the squad needs help.

The club will know how important it is.

In fairness it’s not like the aren’t trying. Bidding £55m for Pedro and £65m Ekitike shows we do mean business

I actually think that one is more likely towards the end of the window. Same with Guehi (if our interest in him still remains). I think our difficult start to the season has maybe increased our need to get a couple more in before kick off.

I feel like Lois Openda at Leipzig would be far better suited to the Premier League than Sesko. He'd also be considerably cheaper. Worth a bid I say, could see him being able to link up well with Isak. Rumours of Inter Milan bidding €35m for him as things stand

I think we’re reluctant to commit to any more signings until we have a forward, and we don’t know if that forward will cost 30m or 80m. Once the situation is resolved I can see everything else happening fairly quickly, but there’s also a danger it’s going to drag out all summer.

Personally I’d rather we moved on from Ekitike and got the numbers we need. If our scouts haven’t found a promising young striker abroad for less than 40m in the last couple years then they need sacking.

Depends if there's one out there that Howe rates. From what I've seen of Howe is that he prefers to stick to his small pool of players who he has already identified, so if the strikers have gone elsewhere, then he'll probably use the funds to buy Trafford or a CB.

He might go with Osula as the back up with Gordon which is a bit risky, or he might decide to bring in DCL late in the window.

We also don't even know what negotiations are ongoing and how long ago they started!

Well none of the journos, who are all cunts and liars whom I don’t trust, haven’t said anything so

Just imagine how much harder it would have been if we didn’t get champions league football.

We'd just be looking at a completely different pool of players. Although it's starting to feel like we might have to look at that one anyway...
