NUFC Transfer Rumours

Not really.

We're seemingly incapable of doing more than one deal at a time. I'm happy to be proved wrong but I can't see us making a signing per week before the first game of the season.

We are glacially slow, no doubt. No coincidence it's got worse since Mandy and Mehrdad left. Triple S would do me - Shagger, Scalvini and Sesko.

It's probably more we have an amount we can spend so who else we can sign is dictated how much we pay for the others.

I said when the window opened that I was unsure if we have the right people with real know how, experience and negotiation skills to do various deals. I’m yet to be convinced. Hopefully it will all gain momentum soon, but time is ticking.

We certainly don't have a Keegan/Staveley type negotiator that can seduce players to sign.

It’s not even in question for me, our transfer strategy is to shop at Harrods with a Waitrose budget at the minute. We want sure things and it appears Eddie and his men are risk averse.

Mitchell might have his faults but he called it last summer. I’m really not sure what our scouting team have been looking at these last 12 months, the majority of links are historic and lazy.

We can’t win.

Getting rid of Mitchell seemed to suggest we would all be on the same page and that this window would be done well.

Now we’re struggling cause we don’t have someone in Mitchell’s role.

Took 2 years to find a set piece coach that would be the right ‘fit’. 2 years.

Thank fuck our team does the business on the pitch because the club is seemingly ran so poorly behind the scenes.

Everything does seem a bit messy with the way we try and get deals done. We seem to hop from positional targets without getting deals done. Of course we can only go of media stories so it’s hard to know the full picture.

Yet basically every transfer we’ve made has been brilliant.

Our targets suck.

Forward we previously bid for

Another forward we previously bid for

Winger we previously bid for

Keeper we previousky bid for

Quite happy with who we have tried to get tbf, we just haven’t been able to get them, that’s the issue [emoji38]

We know that our targets are quality, it’s our approach that has changed. Nickson will still have players who are earlier on in development that he thinks we should go for, we’ve just changed our approach to go for established players as Eddie can’t really run the risk of having to bed in multiple players of the course of a season with some getting no game time

Could it be that our targets are a level above where we are, so want more established teams.  If you're coming to the premier league the top 4 are difficult to break

At some point they will switch to alternative targets that are more straightforward to get, but they're clearly not ready to do so yet. No matter how much people moan about it.
