Lucas Paquetá @ £25 million seems like a good replacement for Longstaff

Chelsea gazumped us for Delap and Pedro

City gazumped us for Trafford

Man Utd gazumped us for Mbuemo

Liverpool gazumped for Ekitike and have spent the summer trying to prise away Isak

Spurs will likely gazump us for Wissa

So let's lowball West Ham and let Arsenal swoop in so we can complete our 'Gazumped by the Cartel ™️' bingo card!

I think Paqueta is absolutely class like. If he's available for a reasonable fee and is cleared of the betting charges, I'd be disappointed if we didn't try to sign him. Would offer us a lot, genuine central midfield cover fitting our current system, whilst also being a genuine option in a 4231.

Not a chance Paqueta goes for the prices being quoted like

West Ham fans on Twitter seem to think it's the correct price

We conduct our business like we're shopping on FB marketplace.

 Yeah, it actually reminds me of some of the interactions I had when I had a mass clearout a couple of years ago.

Was he really an asshole?

He was asked a question about what he brings and what he is going to bring differently to the club, he answered it by saying that the clubs previous approach to transfers wasn’t fit for purpose long term and that the club had moved on from the position they were in when the takeover happened, and what they needed going forward.

Fans and then the media after that all pissed their pants and thought that it was a dig at Howe.

Thats what he said in public, his original speech was far from endearing to those who were around and lost them from day one sadly

Some might have it as a controversial opinion but I honestly think Howe would make Jackson into a better forward than he is. As long as hes not Isaks replacement.

It's the 100 million price tag that's the problem.

I think player preference played an enormous part in these rejections.

Do you not think Darwin nunez could be moulded into a superstar?

He'd cost under forty million aswell.

Unpopular but I’d take Darwin over Jackson here.

He'd need to teach him to finish then.
