I never understand why people in the media and fans of other clubs are so desperate to go out their way to say we aren't a big club, as if we genuinely think we are on the same pedestal as the likes of Liverpool and Man United .

I think they are cock a hoop because they feared we might become the biggest club in England when the Saudis first took over. Now they see how the PL has managed to shackle us and put us in a cage, they are lining up to take shots at us. Why not, they know we can't hit back tbh. :lol:

The thing is we actually are a big club we just aren't an elite one like the big 5 and to a certain extent Spurs are . The sad thing is we literally have all the ingredients to become an elite club but the rules brought in by the cartel means it's almost impossible to do.

I would love it if we manage to win a proper trophy this season ahead of Liverpool Chelsea Man Utd. I’ve been less offended by Man City and Arsenal tbh this summer so don’t mind if they do well.

If you’re suggesting Mainoo which is a good shout we should also get Dibling and Leoni/Scalvini.
 

With Howes ability to improve players they will be 100m players within a few seasons

 

could accept Wissa as first choice if we go down that strategy. Would still like another striker on loan like Endrick or Toney so DCL is last possible resort.

The squad is weaker now than when we last qualified for the CL two years ago.  That’s not great considering how fucked we were after a few months of the season.

Certainly are! I know their business model and can usually just treat it with the disdain it deserves and enjoy it as entertainment but it's been switch off time this week.

I also suggested Dibling ages ago too as I think he fits the purchasing model perfectly. I presume they preferred Elanga.

the talk of Watkins being available is interesting but surely Villa wouldn't let him play against them next week 

 

similarly if Isak goes to Liverpool, surely won't be allowed to play against us at SJP 

 

both moves would probably happen closer to end of transfer window I guess, if at all 

 

at this point it's looking like it'll be Gordon up top in the opening games?
