Kees Smit is an exiting prospect.

But I'm sure bigger clubs will come in for him.

More realistic I would say is the two swedes mentioned Ayari and Bergvall. Being from Sweden myself I'd choose Ayari if it should stand between them.

That Smit kid will be coming in from the beginning, with the mindset of running off in a year or two.

I understand the club needs to be more open to moving players on when the time is right, but I' not sure they should be bringing in players that are so blatantly thinking that way from the outset.

Can we not find players that are actually excited to sign for Newcastle and if they do really well and attract major interest, and it makes sense to sell then that's fine at that stage. Ayari is quality and seems more aligned to that approach. He's also now in the last year of his contract and so should cost much less. We have a lot of areas of the squad that need addressing. Going big on the Smit kid I'm not sure is a great idea.

There’s only Liverpool maybe as a destination for Smit but I don’t see where he fit

Mourinho isn’t touching him - Barca will sign a 9 - PSG don’t need him

I think we have a genuine chance at the 35m to 40m mark

Doesn't make a difference if we are interested in him.

Also, if we are interested then there is also the chance he will go to manu or chelsea.

Would be very happy with Ayari. Prefer him over Bergvall.

anyone actually excited for next season?

honest question.

If I could get to matches regularly I’d be excited, but in terms of progression, no. We’ve topped out and started regressing without the structure to add to what we have(and had). If we sprinkled a few of the good signings from countless lower ranked clubs we wouldn’t have finished 12th last year. Our best squad still needed a lot adding to it, and spending 50mil+ on players who’ve been massively outperformed by players bought for 10-30 has hamstrung us and now it looks like complete re-tooling without the infrastructure or selling points to do it

I'm still recovering from this season, didn't expect the incessant grinding negativity to continue so seamlessly into the summer.

Once we get a few players in I'll be ready.

I'm quite excited for it, yes. I know a lot depends on what happens over the summer, but apart from that I think the likes of Miley and Hall, as well as Osula, are likely to kick on and we have a prime Bruno in the middle. Plus a new goalkeeper.

I’m excited about the window. Depending how it ends will determine my level of excitement for the season. Was expecting quite a big squad turnaround and new approach to things in general. Still would like to see a new coach added to coaching staff just freshen the training ground up too.

Has there actually been any reporting on the lad today, or just that Chronical guy asking what happened to him?

It's coming from the mail but dont think its from No Hope

Delap is a transitional player who lacks technique. He’s also a bully bull. He’s perfect for a lower table team but otherwise no.

He's also a more frequent and worse diver than Miggy. No thanks.

Hopefully in a few Windows time though.

It’ll be an honour to be gagged, bound and cuckholded again by *Insert ESL cartel club*.
