NUFC Transfer Rumours

Recommended Posts

While I wouldn't claim to use TCD's baller™ test myself exactly, I do think that some players just have this obvious classyness that's very immediately apparent. It's kind of a mix of really good technique and composure that's often a sign of really top players. The guys that make things look easy and never seem rushed. That might be close to what he means.

Just look at the way he refuses to rise to Kaka further up in this thread. Real class. Just swats him away effortlessly. Care free.

You are so weird man.

He's had you over a barrel tonight Kaka and you're lashing out at anyone now.

Mad how the thought experiment of wanking on all fours is not the thing that was called out as weird, not that I disagree - still considering it to be honest

Ffs, I just hope Fak doesn't read this.

so it’s not ‘your test’ as such. Just really good players?

Nah Anthony Gordon is a really good player.  He fails the baller test. And that’s his biggest limitation.

Akliouche might be an inferior player. But  from his youtube comps and underlying stats - he looks a baller.

Yes this is pretty much it. You can see it in how players move or strike a ball. As you say, it’s immediate apparent and obvious and that bit of class.

Adeyemi has top notch pace, 1 v 1 dribbling and can create and score out of nothing. Absurd ball striking ability too. I think he’d have done a lot better with more coaching and time with Terzic. His development over last season has stagnated and frustrated people who rate him; I think with Howe coaching he’d be electric. I’d love for us to sign him.

Think pastures a new would be great for him.

What's your favourite type of baller? I love an experienced centre mid, middle 30s who still effortlessly dictates the game. Think Tugay at Blackburn or Cambiasso at Leicester.

Yeh over the hill, legs gone central midfielder but still got some magic left in the boots.

Latter day Toni Kroos couldn’t run. His entire game was about making the football game as slow as possible and only sped up when he wanted too. That was the measure of the game. If it was fast, Kroos and Real were losing the midfield battle.

Lover Tugay.  Was a little young to fully appreciate that type of footballer.

Not professional/athletic enough 10 is my second favourite. Stephen Ireland to James Rodriguez - I love em.

Kaka lad is very angry recently. It’s Sunday evening and we are posting on a football forum. Let’s enjoy ourselves lads.

I love a debate about a random player we’ll not sign. Let’s talk about one and have a little fun.

You are so ridiculous man.

Fond memories of an ageing Dejan Stankovic volleying one in from the halfway line for Inter Vs. Schalke.

Would have thought a street baller like Cherki would have been you preferred type.

Bernd  Schuster. Watched one game,  I think for Atleti in which he moved about 10yds from the part of the centre circle nearest his goal and dominated the first half. Then simply moved to the same position in the second half and ran the game again. He probably covered about 30sq yds on the pitch but dominated that game.
