NUFC Transfer Rumours

Recommended Posts

No rush benji lad. It takes us 5 weeks just put a bid in, so he might want to get a wriggle on.

"Sesko says yes to Newcastle and Leipzig want 70m."

"Newcastle bid 50m for Sesko".

"Man United sign Sesko for 65m".

This might be silly but perhaps we could actually check we can afford him first?

The amount of ‘transfer-debt’ we’ve accumulated over the last 3 or 4 windows is ridiculous. We needed a RW at first then a RW and a CB. Then a RW, CB and a ST. We bought a RW but we can now add a CM and possibly an additional ST to the list. Now looking like 2 x ST, CM, CB, GK. Hoping for some positive news next week…..

Rough quotes. I’m hanging onto the hope that we have some targets for the positions we need that are lower down the list because they’re not in the PL and they’re more risky. I cannot believe for a second that we haven’t scouted some serious options on the continent in those positions. Please, please make some sensible signings and help Eddie out here, even if they’re not the signings that Eddie had at the top of his own list

Howe isn’t a bystander, there’s a three person transfer committee and he is in charge of it.

There are good reasons no successful modern transfer team has the manager leading it

Just been listening to Moyes saying he still wants 8-9 players in before the end of the window.

Theres going to be loads of movement last few weeks, plenty of time for us to get deals done.

Plenty of the bomb squads of various cartels for the Evertons of this world to feast on.

Why will nothing happen when they’re on tour?

Assume means they won’t be involved. Any new signings now won’t be with the team till like Tuesday next week. Then it’s the SELA weekend, and focus will be on Aston Villa.

To only have Elanga on this tour is nothing but an outright failure by the club, and a massive let down to Howe.

Cartel clubs got all their business done early so we could conceivably be the biggest spenders remaining as well. Plenty of time to get some panic buys through the door.

What would DCL'S wages be? They'd need to be astronomical to make him unappealing as a free.

If it's 50k a week, that's 2.5m or so over the year.

That's what, 1 or 2 extra UCL wins?

Or 1 higher spot in the premier League?

Seems a worthwhile bet if it gives us options, some coverage, fresh legs here and there.

Who can we realistically pivot to for a striker that people are aware of would be a good deal? Only one on continent I was keen and saw some of before window started that was a good fee for the gamble was Barry, and he moved to Everton for just over £20m.

In Prem, there’s only Watkins left for me. But that’s easily north of £50m with no resale, but if he somehow kept his levels going for next 4 years could be worth it. He’d at least for this season have a massive drive to do well with World Cup at stake (and subsequent 2 seasons after if he wants to play at a home euros).

It's unbelievable that suddenly Chris Wood would be so appealing for squad depth.
