We were linked with him earlier in the summer but I haven't read anything past just general interest stuff. To be fair the way the press was writing about him the past couple of months I'm assuming most of Europe had interest in him.

I don’t think that other striker will end up being an “Isak replacement” as such… just someone of good quality that can provide competition with Wissa for the season while we keep our powder somewhat dry and look for the “next Isak”. It’s becoming pretty clear that there are no absolute top quality strikers available right now.

 

I was told that’s the plan. But fuck knows if that’s what will actually come to pass. There’s a chance that Downie is right and they try for another defender, but I think that isn’t necessarily part of the plan, but might happen if an opportunity presents itself.

 

My personal opinion is that we’ll get Wissa, another midfielder, and Alex will stay and be reintegrated.

Aye we were linked to him but as that was before Thiaw I'm assuming that's now ticked off the list.

Yeah I initially scrolled by but when I saw downie saying we were wanting a young CB I thought it was worth mentioning

He's one I've always felt we should look at. Extremely highly rated, but Chelsea love to sell their youth players. Would be a very good signing.

If we get striker situation sorted and add another midfielder and defender we start to have 2 pretty decent 11s to put out. Would make sense to sign 2 young players for cm and cd to play cups, subs for league games.

Hope so. Him and Wissa for the season (Isak as sub for a while) and a young midfielder, El Khannouss please. We’d be cooking.

He's still correct though.

 

He's a good journo, but he'll be used to put out club spin for Liverpool, same as Percy with the Midlands clubs or Hope for us.

the kind of signing i assumed we would be making (1-2x) a window to build out the squad over time, but clearly we had PSR issues preventing us from doing that for many windows. 

 

I know nothng of this dude but would be 100% supportive of it. Eventually Krafth, Trippier will be gone and we will need more dynamism and youth for that position.

I could be wrong, but isn't it commonly seen he will end up being a centre back?
