It will be all on finding a buyer (hopefully abroad for Isak) and bringing in a replacement. Samu does seem the most exciting but green. Id take Jackson for a reasonable fee or loan to buy. If we sell Isak we could easily loan in another striker for AFCON cover in January.

AFCON starts 21st December. So players will miss 3 games in December. If we get Wissa then please stop talking about Jackson.

Damn, I didnt see they had moved it earlier this year.

 

I honestly still wouldn't rule it out if they think Jackson is good value (available to the right price) and has a high enough cieling that make him worthwhile. He is prem proven with high upside still.

 

The price Chelsea are looking for is much more than what Villa reportedly got quoted for Samu though. Higher risk than Jackson but won't be jetting off for AFCON.

Maybe a cheap CM or loanee? Otherwise cant see us making any moves except striker or 2.

If we can sell any players on the extreme periphery of the squad like Targett or Willock we may sign a replacement. But yeah, other than that I think it’s just one or two strikers (probably one).

1. Might be another CM if an opportunity suddenly arise, like the Gordon case

2. If suddenly another club comes in to pay Isaks price, then one more ST

 

other than that I think we are done. GK cover got, new CB got, RB likely will promote Shahar and so full backs are enough, Ramsay got and now if you count  Willock as well then we got 6 CM, winger got. Wissa + Isak would be good enough.
