NUFC Transfer Rumours

Recommended Posts

I would go for Jackson now at a reasonable price. Chelsea want rid so they can fund their other purchases so they won't want a protracted transfer with deadline day looming large. Not that I think Jackson is an amazing talent, it's that there is no other credible PL proven options out there.

with Wissa, Brentford can drag things out for as long they can and increase the price along the way. They have no incentive to sell other than us going large on the fee which I doubt we would or should be doing.

Time is running out and I will be losing my shit if we end up with Gordon and Osula as CF options until January.

Not a link but a suggestion... Solanke.

Not their number 1 striker anymore. Howe is a big fan.

Hes 27, so still has good years ahead.

Didn’t they spend 60 million on him? He still is their main striker isn’t he? Just recovering from injury during pre season.

Generally 60 - 65 with add ons. Not convinced you want to get into negotiations with Daniel Levy at this stage of the window and come out with a bargain at end

If we’re honest, Isak has a decent turn of pace but he’s not very fast. Not quicker than Gordon and Murphy. Doubt he’s quicker than Tino. That’s something to bear in mind when watching Woltemade who is also, not blisteringly quick.  Very good feet and hold up play though. Better in tight spaces than Isak, but that’s playing in the Bundesliga.

I’m not kidding when I watched his highlights and defending on YT and had to check my settings fearing I’d left them on half speed

Everything looked so pedestrian.

Cartel member would string us along and fook us off last minute. Don’t deal.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Moise Kean linked again, Fab said we are interested in another player from Italy. He’s been linked previously as well.

Yeah, been waiting for this link to re-emerge.

I thought similar of Goncalo Ramos tbh. He can probably finish well, but he didn't look particularly electric from the highlights video from last season.

Yeah i"m so desperate for us to find a striker I've started watching highlights of players who probably have no chance of coming here.

You won’t. You’ll have Isak.

I know I should but I struggle to get onboard with any player whose been at Everton. They've just been bad for so long now and last season was his only decent one in the last 6 years.

I get he's only 25 so perhaps just now coming into his own but I still don't see how this would be decent replacement even for Wilson.

I think Jackson is still my top choice. Reckon he would open things up for us in ways that Isak doesn’t (while still being a less talented/“natural” striker overall).

See if we can agree a loan with option deal with Chelsea for Jackson. They want to get rid to raise funds and we quite desperately need a central forward so hopefully they see it as a win-win

They will only loan him at last day of transfer window if he’s still there. No chance before that.

If Jackson was on pens he could have scored 20+ in his first season with Chelsea, assuming he’s not shit at them. I think his lack of goal scoring ability gets exaggerated. His form fell off massively in the second half of last season as Chelsea’s play got slower and slower. Palmer has struggled as well having not scored from open play in 17 league games. But he’s had penalties to keep him ticking over.

Last time I checked a Chelsea forum they were proper slating Maresca and Palmer, weirdos. One has just led them to a 1.5 trillion pound windfall winning the CWC and the other is one of the best players in the league at the moment.

Aye but Chelsea is the Epstein Island of football clubs and their fans are like ageing Di Caprio's, in that Palmer is a bit too old for them now at 23 and they want the new shiny young thing. (Or maybe they’re just entitled thick, racist, knuckle dragging cunts)

Palmer hasn't been great for about 6 months, tbf. Last scored a non-penalty goal in January, iirc.

Yea, people get caught up in Palmer high light reels, he's been proper stodgy in Prem for a long time now, which probably isn't helped by Marescaball.

Would take Toney if we could pry him away from the Saudi league, he's mooching on the money though. Shame really, it'd do him good to be playing for us in a World Cup season, especially with CL on the cards too.

Loan with strange option to buy so we don't actually have to buy him.

Nope, not until January anyway, otherwise he has to lose most of it in tax. Plus they’d have to pay his salary, not a chance can we afford it.
