I want royalties for this shit.

Btw he's not Isak like - more of a target/pivot looks very strong. Hold it well. Great in the air so will eat up all those crosses. Not rapid but the rest of the lads are.

I’d rather read this word for word on Goal.com later if that’s ok with you?

If we get a rumour with Promise David I'm gonna cry 😭

Btw all this research took 30 minutes on YouTube, Wikipedia and fbref.

I found that tall strikers who score are rare asf.

They just bought him a month and half ago for almost £40m less of course they are going to say £60m is mental because it is

That price was negotiated last season before he came on loan (Im not sure if it was option or obligation). We are paying a premium due to the situation we're in  but his price to Wolves is t really this season price is it ?

Fair point. I guess £40m ish would be fair?

It’ll be a compromise of Saudis not losing face and Eddie’s take on how much damage limitation it may take to keep the focus on our progress in all completions without this pantomime ongoing. Not too long before this all plays out. I hope we just end up in a strong position with whoever our strike force is.

I want to see this end up like when Mbappe left PSG for Real Madrid.

And this last season without him they ended up with a more balanced team and approach with everyone pulling their weight, and they now look much better for it.

I've been a fan of Big Strand, well before we were even linked. he's got something about him. yeah 60m is crackers, but it's not my money and I don't really give a shit at this point.

it's an L for the spreadsheet nonces so that's a W in my book

Wolves are 100% going down. it's Ashley levels of neglect over there for some reason.

I like that new Wolves manager. I think regardless of what happens they'll be alright.

Even this last weekend that final score flattered Man City I thought. Wolves caused them problems but just didn't take their chances.

Get Wissa/Jackson & JSL and it could be a thing. Wish there were buyers other than Liverpool as I don’t think our owners will sell low.

I think there's a good chance it plays out that way.

Assuming these deals happen the team is going to look a lot more balanced and versatile, and the depth is going to be much improved too.

Yep. It's going to feel like we've undersold and overpaid, all thanks to Isak throwing a strop. Although I really hope we stick to our guns and valuation on Isak, a better outcome would be keep Isak and buy Larsen as competition.

Yes perfect scenario would be Larsen and Isak integration. No AFCON disruption

If Isak could be reintegrated and Larsen was Wilson's back up...could be in for an unbelievable season though.

We need to let go of those sort of thoughts. Even if Isak plays again, just cannot forsee him every hitting the form of mid season last year for us. It would be the Isak from the start and end of the season.

Some interesting bits on the latest situation regarding strikers. Starts at the Newcastle part.

This is ancient, they're talking about Eze going to Spurs. I kept waiting on them to start talking about who Mo Johnson is going to sign for, Rangers or Celtic. Forest have had a great window, I'm a bit envious of some of their signings. Kalimeundo, Doak, Hutchison etc etc.

Not sure Liverpool will offer anything close to enough to persuade PIF to sell Isak though, so at the moment I will hold onto those thoughts.

Without even reading a single word it's mostly just going to be recycled shite isn't it

It’s Waugh. There will be nothing even remotely juicy in there. Equivalent of a turkey twizzler tea.

"Neither would have been the ideal, long-term answer, but at least they are centre-forwards, both of whom boast Premier League experience" - On Wilson and DCL, amazing

Article in a few days coming with the line "but they do play football, and that is indeed the game Newcastle are looking to play".

The issue is you can't really do the thing where you put two strikers output together while they are first choice for their respective clubs and say you're better off now because you have two good options instead of one great one.

They won't both be playing at the same time and will probably have less minutes so the environment is totally different.

As the old saying goes there's only 11 players on the pitch at any one time so while having two 15 a season strikers instead of one 25 a season striker is in theory better.

In reality it doesn't really work out like that.

I mean the excitement people have of keeping him and adding one more meaning were in for an exciting season.

I think there is still a strong chance he doesn't ay at all or doesn't play til atleast October and when he finally does I think he will phone it in.

Absolutely unprecedented window this, Chelsea exposing all these loopholes has really emboldened the cartel to pull the ladder up.

Which is why I don't buy the narrative that it's been a "good window" the only signing we've made so far that's a guaranteed starter is Elanga, and I honestly think last season Murphy wasn't far off what Elanga produced at Forest. Let's see what the next 10 days brings.
