I liked the idea of Trafford, but if he spends a year on the bench, I hope we don't automatically go for him again without assessing the entire goalkeeper market

 

I'd like us to buy the best keeper that is available to us, as in, that doesn't need developing/patience, and is close to a guaranteed success as possible.

Do we give him that? Or do we take a final transfer value and accept we've had the best out of him, where year he could be good for one more season but then the following 2/3 it's a big drop off and you've got the wages saddled. We're still in a percarious postion where we can't afford to write off high wages unlike the cartel 6.

 

 

Don't think Murphy would command huge wages tbh, and it's not really worth selling him because we won't get a decent fee. Makes sense to give him an upgraded contract and keep him as a valuable squad member.
