is that lass ever negative about anything? Just curious.

No, most of her transfer videos follow the same positive fabula.. Usually she's in absolute awe of what *insert team* are cooking.. or *insert team*'s attack is a joke or the equally bold no joke. I appreciate there's not much space for emotional variety in a thumbnail but when you post so much content, even positivity can get tiresome.. in fact, if I had to make a video on the state of transfer gurus, journalists and football "creators", I'd use tiresome for the thumbnail.

Her football analysis is good and thoughtful though.. at least about us.. she's more informed than 95% of the pundits/youtubers.

edit: here's JLA attempt

Over the next 2 windows in no particular order -

Anderson swap involving Barnes going to Forrest

Nusa or Lopez

Scalvini

Santos

Need to be scouting Wissa’s younger replacement as well.

Can we just recover from this window mate. 😵‍💫

Yeah want to see how new lads bed in and hopefully improve squad.

Jan/Next summer going to need to consider defence with Burn, Schar and Trips age. Long term keeper, probably a winger right and left and maybe a midfielder depending on Mileys progress this year or likely risk to Tonali being poached, plus Joelinton age

Barnes is not going to the rival of his boyhood club

We are getting to the point with this squad where we can just chip away at replacing aging players and not having to do major reshuffles each summer. It means we can focus on, hopefully, getting in some real quality.

Hopefully some funds in January are available to get a new CM and potentially another opportunistic signing (whatever position that would be).

Dunno why people are always talking about selling Barnes. If you want to upgrade LW then you’ll get more profit out of Gordon, and Barnes is probably more likely to accept a squad role. Not that I want either to go.

Not a rumour, just a thought. Liverpool are hanging on to get Guehi for free in the summer.

Not sure how dead set he is on going there, but at one point he was apparently dead set on coming here.

Not a priority position for us now but maybe a cheeky January bid so Palace don't lose him for nothing and which annoys Liverpool might be a laugh.

He's not coming here, no need to embarrass ourselves by offering.

Yeah, I know that really. I was just amusing myself with the idea.

One thing I'm looking forward to is getting Ross Wilson - not as big a name as Ashworth and Mitchell but you can see a very good body of work at Forest where within 3-4 seasons they've not just become established in the PL but have actually got a solid side. Probably a better first XI / squad than Brighton/Bournemouth/Crystal Palace etc who have been in the league for much longer. All through high volume trading, it was chaotic but they got rid of the dregs and kept the good ones.
Wouldn't mind a higher volume approach - feel like we are too specific and too meticulous and risk averse in the market. Minteh is an example of when can happen when we are creative. We either only buy prospects sub 20m or first teamers at 35m plus. Don't get me wrong, we've got an excellent record and that's because of being meticulous etc - just feels slow and unsustainable in a fast growing market. Others will catch up whilst we don't bridge the gap much faster.

There's a sweet spot we're not operating in that others are doing better than us.

Agree wtih this, would rather Gordon went than Barnes. I see Barnes as more back up anyway. Feel like there's a ton of Gordon alternatives out there, very good attainable LW's and Gordon is good not great.

The likes of Brighton will never catch up with their approach. They are trying to stay around mid table and maybe qualify for Europa once in a while. We are trying to win the league.

Agree but I think the premise of scouting and acquiring some players the way they do would save a awful lot of money to develop 1 or 2 a season while then keeping cash for bigger right now upgrades.

We need to operate in a way to manage PSR and also improve squad quality which means our worldwide scouting/bringing players in before they are worth 30/40 million is what we need to do as well as spending 60-70 on bigger upgrade each season. Take defenders we could potentially improve our options at the back for a fraction of the 150 m we have spent on it so far if we had those options coming through. Now is the time to do that with Burn/Schar having couple years left, Botman and Thiaw hopefully doing well and a younger understudy behind them getting experience. Same for fullback, need cover for Hall, Livermento, Trips and Krafth given age of the last 2.

Totally disagree with this, Gordon has been vital to our high finishes, Barnes is a big step down but a decent deputy. Gordon is not easy to replace at alll and would be a huge loss even if for 80-100
