Clubs like Sunderland I kinda get why they would, because well they have pretty much nothing. But I would think when your club achieves enough at the highest level you'd stop giving a fuck. You have to be Italian to understand the humiliations they've suffered over such a long period of time... in Serie A's golden age (1985/2005), they spent twice as much as us on player acquisitions and won one Scudetto and a couple of UEFA Cups, while we won seven Scudettos and four Champions Leagues... they had an unreal player like Ronaldo (and let's remember that the Ronaldo of PSV/Barca/Inter was an alien...not like the Ronaldo who went to Madrid in 2002) and they failed to win anything even with him. Over the last four/five years, the difference in quality between them and the other Serie A teams is abysmal and yet they managed to lose two championships in an unreal manner... honestly, if I were an Inter fan, I'd be foaming at the mouth with rage...
