It goes in cycles and all the players were U-21 when the qualifiers started. Surely it makes more sense to do it like this than having to drop off players from a major tournament after their birthdays?

Who's this fucker? It seems to be gaining traction, and they sound convinced on the City forum it's on.

If they offer £150,000+ per week and an excellent chance of a major trophy (that's what spending £400m in a single year can get you), suppose there's not much we can if he's keen.

Suppose major trophies will be well within reach for City next season after spending £400 million. If they also offer £150,000 per week or more, we can't really compete with that either.

Had a look on Bluemoon, City fans hold this account at the same level of esteem that N-O hold Burnsie too.

I've heard from trustworthy sources that he's a promising and dependable ITK/journalist, worthy of trust and belief.

Why wouldn't the sources within The Athletic not just report it themselves?

If this had come from anyone else but you then I would be concerned. Now I'm content in the knowledge that it's bullshit. Thanks tarie4  for making me sleep easy.

80m would be mad money to turn down for a Rb… wouldn’t take it though; love Tino. Not many players around now with his kind of profile.

Wouldn't be mad at all. It's not much higher than Gvardiol whom Tino should be more expensive than given the various premiums involved.

He's not anything like Gareth Bale TBH, I thought he would be before he arrived but he's much more defensively-focused. Lazy chat.

Bale took a few seasons to become what he became…

totally different player though, I’d be so surprised if he ever became that offensively proficient

All the more important to try and get Trafford and Guehi in this summer. Potentially 4 of England's back 5 playing at one club. Makes it a very easy decision for selection for a NT manager where time is limited for training and integration.

Add Gordon, Miley and Dibling, you could see that appeal to a young English lad.

Depends on what the 80m gets you. If its top class in-demand matchwinner, I dunno, Ekitike?, you think about it.

If its two Liverpool castoffs like Quansah and Eliot, the kind of signings the world of football thinks we deserve, then no fucking way.

I think it would be daft to get rid of one of our world class players even for a stupidly high fee. There's a reason City would want him. I'm sure he's happy here, but until we can match the cartel for paying wages, there's always the risk a player might be tempted.

Urgh, hope they get that Brazilian fullback tied up soon.

We need to consider his loss as two positions lost as he can so comfortably cover LB and RB. Hope we don't bite!

And left wing and right wing
