Sometimes I think ppl forget who are manager is. 
 

Im 90% confidnt the same back 5 start. Botman is the only one they might start from those named. 
 

 

Tripps should be a 60 minute man rather than a 90 minute man though.

Strange he didn’t get 30 today, as both full backs were done physicality wise.
 

We do miss him in our build up from back as Trippier is not the same level anymore, so more of our balls are going long or it has to be through Bruno / Tonali.

 

Guess with it being a more serious injury then we was told at the start, and him being young, it’s the longer term picture being taken here with his reintroduction.

Is it Eddie not wanting to change a side that has been performing well defensively? Still strange he doesn’t sub him on at 60 minutes and rest either Trippier or Tino.

Doubt it. Hall was one of our best players last season. Him and Tino have to start every week when available and fit.

Said in match thread it feels like 23/24 all over again for Hall. Clearly a talent that should be starting, but defence won’t be proactively broken up as Eddie never does that. To then start against Bournemouth away and be off the pace, would be identical to 23/24  

 

I do feel after nights like last night, Hall - Botman - Thaiw - Tino are the fresher defence long term that’s got the pace and ability and will be our strongest. But the current 4 are the tried and trusted group where they can be on it, but are starting to show vulnerability more often now.

Agree vis-á-vis performance. Thought he looked very shakey early on and grew a little into the game later but still ways to go. Imagine he'll get minutes at Bradford with our lack of depth at fullback.

Started slowly but ended strongly.  
 

A big shame about that final pass.  

If we play that back 5 a lot we need him to be better on the ball.  He showed some nice glimpses in the second half mind.

Definitely rusty but you could still see the class he has. Seems like he's got a good head on his shoulders so skys the limit.

Great to have him back. He did well for the most part, and when he’s match fit he can be a difference maker.

Really strong performance. Bit sloppy at times, but was really beaten by Semenyo. Constantly passing forward too which we’ve missed. Him and Gordon back together next week will be huge.

Honestly with a performance like this there isn't much reason for Trippier to be starting, Tino and Hall should go back to being or starting full backs.

He's definitely rusty but thought he was let down a few times by Miley and Willock being slow to show for the ball.
