Newcastle Fan
Ahh this is a blow especially with Tino out as well, hope it's not that serious.

Yeah a real shame but sadly common sight footballers and particularly when players have already been out for a long period. Hopefully he’s not out too long because he’s integral to us playing really well.
Lotus
We need more football down the left side so this is a big loss.
AyeDubbleYoo
We might need a signing in January TBH, depending on how many competitions we're still in. Unless we want to explore Trippier LB and Krafth playing more RB games.
Sibierski
Howe alluded to before window closed he’d want one more (and it not Wissa). That to me implied a full back as that was the area we were lightest in the squad. Would fully expect to have one lined up to come in first week of Jan. Can't believe we're gonna be watching Burn at LB for presumably several weeks. Or… it is incredibly fucking annoying that both our first choice full backs (for years to come, hopefully) are injured. So pleased Botman and Thiaw are fit/ playing so well, so we can use Burn as a competent option at left back, otherwise it would be exponentially worse. TRon
I guess we were due a bad season for injuries after getting off lightly last year. If we can come through it in relatively good shape then at least we have a squad which should be able to push on for the second half of the season and really go for it. Its definitely high up on the list you would imagine anyway come the summer BDB has 1 year left, Trips is likely away? Does kraft get another year or away? We also let Targett go without replacement. Likely to need one for each side older rotation option or young up and coming who doesn't have to start every game? Guess it will depend what the philosophy of any new sporting director is on playing squad age etc

joeyt
Reckon we'll recall Targett in Jan if this is a long term one

Buying in jan someone is more likely if hall continues to struggle or burn gets a knock/issues.
timeEd32
Who is even our backup LB at the moment then if Burn needs a rest or gets injured? Trippier with Krafth at RB? Murphy? ...Botman? Kind of horrifying regardless.

kenlau88210
Trippier can do a job at LB. After all he played there for England last year and did ok. Perhaps Joelinton too can cover LB.

Sibierski
There’s a few weeks then there’s 10-12 games depending how early in December Need one of those runs where Krafth rolls back the years and helps carry some load. LB there’s no-one so Burn has to play every game and hope some are wrapped up with 10-15 to go so he can come off.

I wouldn't say this is "bad" like. We have three injuries, one is due back in two weeks, the others roughly six weeks a piece. It's not ideal, but we're still in pretty good shape.
