Lovely dribbler and striker of the ball. Beginning to think he's wasted in defence.

Give him a stint at LCM.

Was thinking this myself if we got a decent left back in.
Or sort out a decent right back and played Liv as left back.

Looks massively out of place on the ball in away games. By that I mean he actually looks to take people on, drive forward with the ball and make things happen. Which makes a refreshing change from slow sideways passing, hoofs upfield and aimless crosses.

When he’s been fit for a bit longer Tuchel will start picking him and his profile will go up.

I guess most people just don’t notice who NUFC’s left back is. Luckily for us.

Think he'll be in the next squad if he stays fit. Tuchel loves him and gave him his debut at Chelsea.

He would be really good in our deepest midfield role I think. Obviously he’s mint at LB so the obvious question is why change that, but if we can find a way for him to be able to influence games more, then his ability dictates that we should try to do it imo.

If he keeps showing that kind of form you can't keep him at left back imo. He can roll into that big Joe slot that was so effective if he gets a quality lb behind him. Massively exciting

He played LM for Chelsea didn’t he? Could be so good in that role.

I believe he did aya  but must admit I never noticed him then. I think someone on here was amazed we bagged him after his showing there

Maybe his best position is CM but we have a bunch of (theoretically) good players who can play there, and literally nobody else at LB.

I could see him moving central eventually if Tonali departs.

He's not a CM man

People also forget just sticking Hall in CM doesn't mean he's going to be spraying the ball around like Pirlo. At full back he's almost always facing the opposition goal and can drift in to positions, whereas in CM he'll have to receive the ball with his back to goal at times.

Not saying it definitely wouldn't work but see TAA as an example.

It's ridiculous talk, just like the schar as DM was.

Nobody is expecting Pirlo. But given his ability to run past a player or two and pick a pass he may be a canny stop-gap until he we can someone of genuine quality to play there.

Joelinton is the one we could sell and it'd pay for the left-back replacement, without touching the "purples".

Hall is similar to Reece James.
Both primarily played CM in youth sides. Both pure footballers. James played CM in the championship and at times under Tuchel and now Maresca.

Hall can play CM. Just does he have the physicality to dominate there.

TAA is a wonderful passer/crosser (up there with the very best too) but not great at anything else. Not his touch.  Dribbling etc. James and Hall have more rounded footballing ability.
