They've schooled us first half. Hopefully we adapt second half because otherwise we get nothing from this.

They've been so tight to everyone who has received the ball, given us no space to turn or time to play. Have faith in Eddie to sort it at half time though and see how we do playing downhill in the next 45 but that was a tough first half.

They have not "schooled us".

What on earth are you watching man?

What the fuck is this? Nobody's complaining. We're just analysing the first half and trying to work out where w can be better.

There's more than a splash of the usual match-thread hyperbole and sensationalism tonight tbh.

Was over 18 months ago, we are in the big league now. No-one said it was going to be easy. No-one is faulting the effort.

Said time and time again that Joelinton hasn't had a good game for us this season. Was shocking against Brighton and then had his injury.

He's not competing the way he used to. Of course it will come back, but we are a man down.

They seem to have scouted that when we lose the ball there is acres of spaces behind Trippier. Sadly Lascelles is there and he is not very good 1v1 defender.

He’s back tracking and sitting off far too much (Lascelles). Trippier had a go at him on 3 separate occasions in the first half hour.

Sometimes losing happens because of how well your opponent plays, not necessarily because of how poorly you play. Feels like every time we lose, a segment of fans calls our play "crap" or blames effort or whatever, and that's silly on a day like this. We've not done especially badly but this is the fucking Champions League, not the Championship. Mistakes are ruthlessly punished and standards are high. Credit to Dortmund for their approach and not being intimidated. This is a brilliant chance for our team to learn.
