Its a fantastic achievement to be where we are playing the likes of Dubravka, Longstaff, Krafth, Anderson, Murphy, Almiron week in week out tbh.

Really unlucky to lose that. Not saying we didn't make some errors but we created a lot. The non VAR decision. Harsh.

Unlucky i dont know, shit defending and finishing seems pretty standard for us.

Amazing that Trippier has come back just in time to pick up where he left off previously, gifting away goals, to spoil the end of the season.

Cannot see us beating Brentford away at all.

Brentford have wrapped on this season tbf they won’t care. We will win that

I will get slaughtered here (especially off Froggy) but we are a far superior team to Man Utd.  Maybe not tonight, but we are bigger and better and only going to improve.  They are a mess both on and off the pitch.

We beat them regularly when there’s only three points on the table but when it counts we don’t. Said it a few pages back but our players and manager at the moment just aren’t experienced in getting over the line as that’s a different skill set.

It will come in time but at the moment cup finals, big games like this to get pretty much into Europe, against Chelsea in cup etc we just don’t get the job done.

I've a feeling Gordon is fucked, looked like he was grimacing at the end.

Amad caught his ankle with his studs about 5 minutes before he scored.

Harsh to say, but Trippier has repeatedly sabotaged Newcastle this season

Not harsh at all. Directly cost at least 4 points, and semi final cup place. We would have wilted if we'd made the final though, as we usually do when it matters.

It would make sense considering no matter how many times he gets fucked over he's survived. Terrified of the lad not getting a full rest for a second summer in a row.

I was ridiculed for saying age is catching up with him end of last season. Personally would have been happy to see him go to Bayern in January as well.

I mean the guy ain't gonna get any better now is he? Love the impact he had upon arrival but we were signing someone not far from the age players tend to decline rapidly.

I hate saying it but their Bruno was the best player on the pitch by a mile. Alongside us being so erratic, not a good mix. We deserved nowt imo.

Aye it's mad but he has. Although you can throw Dubravka in tonight as well.

Still love him though. Trippier that is.

I know, no chance Lithuanian teams would get far enough to play us.

The question is though should we be playing them week in week out when hall has spent most season on the bench, pope is now available and is not being used, barnes is not getting games.

Losing to that Man U team was embarrassing  - utterly unacceptable that

The standard of defending from us tonight was pathetic to a man - basic stuff

so so disappointed with the players - let us down

There's really no need for this. The players don't owe you anything; they have applied themselves to the absolute maximum in every second of the season.
