I think our remit will be different.

We need a few more ready made recruits.

Hasn't been covered much on here, but we've brought in a number of young players this summer already.

That side is definitely being focused on a fair bit.

Credited with identifying players like Son, Mane gave opportunities to some of Monaco’s talents like Benoit Badshialle and the lad who Madrid signed from Monaco.

so elite talent id coupled with experience of both England and Europe really ticks every box for us.

Credited with identifying or just getting the deals done?

"Should probably be a little concerned they have Paul Mitchel. He was probably more responsible for our improvement in the Poch era than Poch."

:aww:

We've appointed a class Sporting Director and the first thing some care about is the lack of ITK's:footy:

Is it known that he turned down Man Utd?

Anyway he looks absolutely class. Of course the challenge is a little different than at Monaco but we also need to revamp our training ground, power up the academy and all that.

Seems a top man.

It suits my narrative, so yes.

Looks stoic. Not a little worm.

That girth of neck compared to ashworth’s is enough for me to know we’ve had an upgrade.

Yes. We approached him for a recruitment role but he wanted the sporting director role. We wanted Ashworth for that instead. So it's true he turned us down, but not for the role you were offering.

Mitchell was a lot of fan's first choice for our sporting director role mind, mainly because of the recruitment aspect. That'll be down to Wilcox and Vivell now instead.

According to Wikipedia he was the one responsible for getting Alan Smith off our books.  He's already done so much for us.

Looks like a great appointment on the face of it. No nonsense workaholic Northerner with modern methods and likes to tap into the DNA of a club...yes please.

Wonder will we see a bit of business been done with Monaco.
