Thought he was great today, a total enigma. Improved so much the last few weeks since getting a run in the team. Keep him and sell Woltemade - because he can never play in a Howe team and it looks like Howe is here next season.

In my opinion, he only has two strengths – speed and tackling ability. And these two strengths are, of course, essential for the Premier League.

What he lacks: passing and vision. He's also far too twitchy on the ball and gives it away too often.

But at the moment, he's impressing with his strengths, and the other strikers are out of form.

Lacks any sort of composure though so he will be one of those that will score a few but will be generally frustrating as he will fluff more than he scores.

He scored a header with no keeper between the sticks today remember, lets not get too excited ffs.

He was outstanding in his all round play though. An absolute menace for 45 mins. Just needs to work on his finishing.

Aye, probably the first time for us today he looked like he's got the ability to put it all together. Usually I watch him and have to try and work out how a player can simultaneously look like he's absolutely shit and that he definitely has something about him

The concern is that he is 23 in the summer, and finishing is kind of the key thing you need in a striker

I'm still not convinced he will anything more than an average Championship striker.

It's really hard to knock him - gives everything and he's got a few goals to his name too, good goals at that.

Looks the most dangerous striker we have, actually hope we stick with him, much rather bin off Missa, and have Osula as a backup to another new striker.

I mean I don't think he's ever gonna pull up any trees but I think that's a bit OTT

He's raw and unpolished but I love his work ethic and enthusiasm. He's starting up front on merit and it's his shirt to lose. Really happy for the lad, he's been one of very few positives this season.

Craig Bellamy’s finishing was pretty average when he was with us and he definitely improved after the age of 23. Probably just one of many examples. I don’t know why but it feels like people can’t wait to write this guy off because he didn’t cost the world. He’s playing and scoring, worst case he’s increasing his value.

Even if he doesn't cement a place in the starting XI he'll be the first player in the squad I would want to bring on to change a game.

Yep, we've also been crying out for a forward player who can cover all 3 positions for years, if we think he's able to do that it's potentially another box ticked/allows us to kick a can down the road for a year

I think he's playing his way towards staying next season, barring any kind of mental sized offer.

He's starting to show he can be relied on to get a goal and there's already a big tick in the box as a substitute for the "chaos" option too.

Still very raw but signs it's starting to come together. I'd keep starting him for the rest of the season, he's earned the spot and should keep it.

His weaknesses can be worked on, it's not like he's lacking physically for the league like Woltemade for example.

Hope we keep him, definitely has something about him.

Pity he didn't finish that one on one in the first half. Looked offside at first but don't think it was.

On first viewing I thought he was well offside but he was clearly on, timed his run to perfection, shame he couldn't finish it as those are the type of goals I'd like to see him score more of

It also helps push defences back if they know has that in his game

And yet has scored 3 in his last 4 in a team not playing well.

And continuously finds himself in great goal scoring situations like none of the other strikers can seemingly manage, through his runs in behind, his closing down, a bit of skill etc.

What's actually frustrating is a striker that doesn't score and doesn't make life difficult for defenders.

His pace, physique and work rate alone is enough to carry him through a PL career. Maybe not a good one unless he improves other aspects of his game, but still PL level.

Think people are right to focus on his physical attributes, but I do feel his skill is overlooked. He got out of a bad situation with a bit of trickery, and defenders are clearly worried about what he can or may do when he's barreling down on them.

Plus, he's an absolute mad head, so all the flair hasn't been coached out of him yet [emoji38]. He's still willing to do the unpredictable.
