Aye both

Nah mate, someone posted the interview with Jacobs a few pages back. Doesn’t mention 60+, unless he’s said something else since then?

They’re both “chief football correspondents” for Talksport and have to fill airtime.

Both of them said that nothing has been accepted yet, but that it’s likely it will get done. This was yesterday lunchtime.

Oh look its another marc guehi situation

That's what I'm wondering. If a club in our kind of aspirational mode loses a player to one of the big six, then at least its possible to shrug one's shoulders and not take it personally. If you lose a player to a club that you think of as being on a similar level to yours, then it's more of a slap in the face.

These big businessmen don't like losing. They may be tempted to jerk us around.

It was from yesterday, and they are generally renowned for summarising Twitter rumours, so I wouldn’t give them too much attention.

Plus, they didn’t even say it had been rejected. They said the expectation would be that it would get done very soon, but there were some finer details to iron out.

People dont hear anything in a day and start inserting their own negative theories. Give it a rest man.

The last seemingly accurate information was that Forest were happy dealing at 55m but there's a few add ons and clauses to iron out to get it rubber stamped.

My feeling is that Howe wants him around the squad next week, so the deal will be done in the next couple of days.

I just dont see a scenario where this doesn't happen. Elanga is sold on the move, Forest have all but given up keeping him and we are willing buyers.

Even in the improbable world where another club gazumps us, I think Elanga is pretty much set on us and I wouldn't want to pay more than we already are.

Shit source but it’s what some have suggested is the reason for the hold up

That does sound realistic given what’s already been reported tbf.

Although clowns like him do usually just take educated guesses, so might be no substance behind it, even if it does turn out to be right.

Hopefully it's just a case of agreeing how much of the fee is guaranteed, how much is add-ons, how much is lump sum, how much is installments etc.

Unless there's delaying tactics from forest in the hope someone else comes in , just a thought.
