Osula smiling through the pain knowing his one hope was getting minutes on the RW. I swear to god if that lad doesn’t get some serious minutes as a CF this season I’m going to whitey all over myself

He looks loads leaner than he did when he first joined.

That’s a bit of a myth. Tonali, Gordon, Isak, trippier, wood, all started straight away. He’ll likely start on the bench because Murphy deserves to start

Gordon didn’t start his first game I don’t think and certainly wasn’t a guaranteed starter in that first half season. Isak and Wood had to start because we had no fit strikers if memory serves.

As good as Murphy was last season I really hope Elanga starts. Been talking about it to a few Man U lot this week and all described him as an absolute pressing machine. Really excited to see what he can do.

Are you not allowed a certain amount of absences with a note from your parents anymore? I missed two weeks of school for the 98 World Cup. Was no bother.

Was that for Scotland though? Once in a lifetime occurrence…

Nope. That's never been a thing. The note had to detail why and if the reason was a bit suss the wagger woman was sent to your parents.

Haha aye but we didn’t know it was then!

Sure I openly missed school for a UEFA cup away game and Scotland away qualifiers too. Always did our  holiday during term time cos cheaper too. Used to say it was fine as long as max 2 weeks per year.

@madras - I definitely did it; almost every year. Took a note in from parents saying I’d be off for holiday.(as above)

Can’t imagine the local authority are delighted with Sammy getting a prime time spot to extol on the virtues of skipping school

As a teacher, I thought this but didn’t want to say.

Forest's fat mess of a chairman writing to the Premier League as we speak.

Maybe if we just get Osula to send our Apollogies?
