A half of two halves that.

Started well, kept the ball nicely, albeit we didn't create loads.

As soon as they scored though, we were all over the show. Disorganised and rushed with the ball. We needed half time.

Tonali and Barnes on at half time please.

Can’t really argue with the scoreline. Being out muscled at times in the middle of the park. Gordon aside every player has been pretty poor. Starting longstaff over Tonali has to stop eventually too, it’s embarrassing really.

Yeah, poor half, no doubt about that.

Longstaff is an obvious lightning rod but the bigger issue is that we don't have a coherent or impactful attacking gameplan. Extremely passive and predictable, not apparently playing to anybody's strengths.

Early days but doesn't look like the break has given us anything. Hmm.

said it before they scored but really don’t get why we’re inverting Livramento. This is a player who is good at carrying the ball forwards and dribbling, not someone who can receive the ball with his back to goal in tight spaces and progress play with his passing. If we want to do that with a right back it really ought to be Trippier.

Poor team selection. Hard to defend Howe on this instance.

Especially when he keeps doing it.

As per, he usually waits until the game is lost to change it. Seems like every fucking manager we have does this.

Start well for 15 minutes, other team adjusts and gets into the game while looking more dangerous than us, we don't change anything.

Please stop being so reactive Howe, be more proactive in changing something, anything.

And people on here were against signing a RW saying it wasn’t a priority [emoji38]

It's been three years since the takeover.

Still haven't managed any half decent option that can dribble the ball down that side.

In that respect certainly 'Not fit for purpose'!

We just go down the left all the time.

Hmmmmm. Pretty poor half. I'm a big Murphy supporter but this is exactly the type of game where he is most ineffectual. A defence dropping deep and being compact, his direct and powerful running is totally nullified and he lacks the vision and skills to unpack this kind of defense.

Poor if slightly predictable performance. Thought Bruno might of missed out for Tonali today.

Joelinton having one of those games he’s more hindrance than help.

Trippier organising of the back feels missing.

Expecting one if not two changes HT.

I’m still not remotely convinced that livramento is worth picking over trippier.

He is terrible in that box midfield role, I know that much. Which also takes away from his defending. He is great off the ball and carrying it forward. But he offers fuck all with his passing.

So now he's going to have to bring Tonali on and give him 45 mins whilst chasing the game? This was soooooo obviously going to happen, it's not bad luck it's poor management tbph. I love Howe but he's got this badly wrong today, no point in pretending otherwise

That is galling.

Wolves look so poor. Burn covering at LB for the goal, dragged out of position, and Hall jogs back and doesn't cover for him.

Very little tempo. Murphy a non-factor.

Three points still very much available but Howe going the unnecessarily hard way again. This would be such a shit 3 or 2 points to drop with our aspirations.

Hall is up there because it's attacking play, where Longstaff is careless with the ball. Nothing Hall can do, can't play expecting your attackers to lose the ball.

Not Burn fault either, but he gets tight and seems to never learn he has no pace.

Main issues for me in that half, we're shit with the ball again. Just such a poor side with it and rely on individual moments which is all on Gordon. At least with Barnes, that's an extra player who can pick something from his ass, but nothing joined up in our play again.
