Whilst it's possible to feel 'some' sympathy for Man City supporters, remember folks whilst they have been disrupters, I would argue that they are still part of the top 6 cabal that has got PL football sewn up. They have bent and broken the rules like Chelsea, where we have had to do everything by the book (hopefully), whilst having to see some our brightest young talents to comply.

I still think we've played too nice.

Possibly - but have had to because of the extra scrutiny. I'd much rather we weren't owned by the Saudis/PIF - we all know who they are and what they do. But - it is what it is. Either you pay your money to go and watch, or you don't.

We have if we were meant to be the next city, we haven't if we are just a medium -long term investment.

We'll only really find out if City take the PL to High Court for anti-competitive practice. That is why I am hoping the PL keep backing them against a wall so eventually they have to come firing back with the canons.

Unfortunately I am no longer sure the Saudis see us as a vanity project, so even if they were allowed to pump millions into making us a top team, would they bother?

Whether they see us as a vanity project or not, pumping in millions and having us compete on the big stage would make us a much more lucrative investment.

We are also a vehicle of PIF and the Saudi state, who I reckon don’t want to go around the western world breaking the rules of the markets they operate in and having legal battles with the people they work with.

Do coaching staff really have these concerns?

why wouldn’t they? If say they start the season with a points deduction that would likely see them relegated why would you stick around?

It genuinely blows my mind that in this day and age people actually believe what they read on the Twatter.

It’s a megaphone for habitual liars.

Tbf he is on talksport all the time talking about it. Apparently has come credentials.

Its Man City, they are probably very well paid, not to mention working with superstar players, one season not winning the title will hardly bother them

I’m pretty sure the coaches wouldn’t find out before someone in the media got wind of the actual charge.

The guy is pretty obnoxious and is sarcastically taking the piss with that tweet, which is often his default position. He's also a massive Man City fan

And to be honest is wrong quite often.

Stefan Borson innit.

Really knows his stuff when it comes to PSR and the regulatory landscape, but like far too many talking heads types, the ego stoke of fame has given him the vindication to start discussing or speculating about stuff he's clearly not familiar with.
