11/10 favourites which is crazy really when you look at our away form.

Aye I'd probably just edge them to be favourites

You'd think that Gordon would be well up for this, not just because he's going back to Everton, but because it'll be the last time that he'll play at Goodison, which given he'd been at Everton since a very young kind, you'd think would mean a lot to him.

Nah, they’ve won one game this season, and that was against a team that hasn’t won any.

Really important that we win this. There aren't any excuses, we should be doing the business if we have any ambitions.

Hoping it's a bit of a coming of age game for Gordon. It's true that he's been under par against them in the past - seemed too focused on keeping calm and enjoying the game. Need more piss and vinegar this weekend.

Agree with all of this, big game

on the context of the season and we could be going into the break either jubilant or frustrated.

Last ever visit to Goodison (worked out that it it’s my 21st there – not the best record - five wins!) so hopefully see off the place with a\ win and Pickford in tears!

My last visit to Goodison was the Ben Arfa long ranger. Probably on of my favourite away games ever.

Previous time was 07/08 season where we got beaten 3-1. Had seats in the back row and view additionally obstructed by the pillar for the stand. If you stood up you couldn’t see the pitch and if you sat down you couldn’t see the pitch. Awful day.

We've had some awful days there. Seemed to me we'd always serve up our worst performance of the season in this fixture 2011-2016. There and St. Mary's.

The 1-4 in April 2023 though is one of my favourite ever Newcastle games I've been to. Was on the drink in Liverpool with my Everton mate from 2pm and was absolutely honking during the first half*. Barely remember a thing of it. Second half was unreal though.

*same plan with the same lad tomorrow so hopefully a similar result.

Yeah the 1-4 is my favourite as well (not many to choose from!).

I can recall the coach coming back from the 3-1 in that 95-96 season having the radio on when Cantona made his comeback and them pigs drew 2-2 with Liverpool (late pen iirc he scored).

I actually think Gordon up top might benefit us tomorrow, think his relentless pressing will cause issues. Tonali hopefully the game changer against these fuckers.

Especially if Branthwaite is out, as our press vs Michael Keane should be interesting.

This is a banana skin waiting to happen.

Sorry but no excuses. If there's a banana skin we need to spike it and dump it in the trash along with Everton. Top 6 or bust.

88 still ranks as one of the most disappointing days of my following the lads away (and I've had a few).

Was it 45 seconds or something before we were losing?
