The 8 games so far underline the importance in January of signing a wide right and or forward as our top priority. Signing a defender can wait until summer. We just didnt create enough or have a good enough defense to claim that. Like I said when we won against Tottenham, the game isnt won by dominating possesion. Fair doos, Gordon should score with a header though. The lack of RW creativity and goals on the right is killing us. If we had a decent RW that would at least spread the play a bit and create more space even if we don’t have a number 10 type player. Yorkie Posted October 20 Share Posted October 20 There was the obvious chances (the two one-on-ones and the Gordon header being the worst of them) but there were others too; players got in behind from the left hand side but we just couldn't find the killer pass or shot. There was one, from my pov in the East/Leazes corner, where it looked like all Joelinton had to do was touch in and it was a goal, but he got nothing on it. Can distinctly recall screeching "HOW HAVEN'T WE SCORED" at one point in the second half so will rely on that memory to conclude that we should have scored. It was difficult to distinguish between rational criticism and chronically miserable cunts when we were unambitious and shit as there wasn't much positive to say about our situation anyway, but some peoples true nature has really come through after the takeover (on top of all the shitty new members).
