Can't see many folk saying we will walk this except, funnily enough, over on Red Cafe

Yes it'll be tough, we're away against a massive club. They might well win but in my mind the aura, the spell they've had over me as a fan for 30+ years is broken. No longer am I writing the match off before kickoff and just waiting to see how many we lose by.

Totally agree, I'm very hopeful and quietly confident. Can't wait 👊🏼

Normally I'd urge caution but I'm really struggling to see where Man Utd can get any joy against us.

They will struggle stop giving us chances. They won't dominate our midfield.

The only slight area,  is dealing with their pace in transitions.

“Are they good in set pieces?”

“Doesn't matter, all they have to do is cross the ball somewhere in our penalty area and they'll score”

”With Jason Tindall being sent off on Boxing Day, at least we'll be spared having the cameras focused on him for half of the game”

Stick him in the away end! [emoji38]

My only concern is us. If we have bought into the media hype that Man U are dead men walking, then we might have a problem.

If it's the same hungry, confident Newcastle team of the last couple of weeks we win.

We've done alright with that recently. Diallo is the one that worries me though, he's the only one they've got in any form .

Eddie won’t let that happen, and will take nothing for granted. Our run of form, new midfield and growing self belief should help. Old Trafford or not, Manure’s self belief and run of form is going in the opposite direction. An early goal for us and the crowd will be rattled and ready to turn! But still it’s football and anything could happen [emoji38]

In the name of all things historic, just stop   ;D

Not confident at all personally, based purely off our record against the ‘big 6’ clubs away from SJP recently. Lost all of them convincingly last season, and have only won 1 in the last 19.

Would love a convincing performance and win.

Assuming we don’t do something stupid and get a man sent off, I won’t be happy if we don’t win this one. We’re on brilliant form and they’re as low as they’ve been in decades, with their captain out. We really need to be beating them.

Nervous for this.  All this confidence, even from their fans that we’ll win, football just doesn’t work like that especially with our record there.   And it’s “under the lights” at OT

Yeah it’s feeling a bit like pre-West Ham. I hope we aren’t over confident and that we are aggressive from the kickoff. We should dominate a midfield of Eriksen and Casemiro.
