Manchester United vs. Newcastle United: 30/12/24 @ 20:00 (Live on Sky Sports)

Recommended Posts

They have pace in attack and can certainly hurt us if we switch off, but our midfield should run the show against them.

It's always when we’ve had a few decent results that our inconsistency rears its head.. something Howe just can’t seem to preempt in terms of training.

But those available should be in good fettle as he’s been able to make good use of subs in last few games to manage minutes.

Us at our best beats them at their best.

Current form we should win.

We don’t turn up and they do.. we lose.

Or both teams don’t turn up and it’s a turgid 0-0.

No scenario is more likely than the other.

No Ugarte to break up attacks, their main attacking threat is also out. Either of Casemiro or Eriksen doesnt have the pace to handle a 3 of tonali, Joe & bruno.

The back 3 lacks pace and is easy to run at. I can't see how we dont win with that midfield 2 against our 3.

I get to see them live a lot and after the next 2 games theyll be in a relegation battle

Last season here was a fucking nightmare, Dubravka at fault for the winner and us creating and missing about half a dozen gilt-edged chances when we deserved at least a point.

They're in a tough spot so hope we can go there and put in a professional away job and take the points.

I couldn’t watch this fixture last year because of work but was reading the match thread the whole time. Just remember everyone saying “Bruno F is their difference maker” and fair play and things like that. Making me feel a little less anxious and kind of excited for this game.

I think it’s more likely we turn up.

I’m not shitting this at all, no arrogance here just confidence. We’ve got Tonali, Bruno & (XL bully) big Joe to look after things and I really think they will, best midfield we’ve had in years.
