There’ll be 26 days between the Liverpool game and this one.

General consensus before Liverpool was that it was a waste of time turning up as we were going to be smashed and embarrassed.

Now we’re going to Old Trafford and the consensus is as long as we play half decent we’ll win with ease.

Funny how the mood changes.

Fickle. The word you're looking for is fickle.

Referee: Simon Hooper.

Assistants: Adrian Holmes, Simon Long.

Fourth official: Andy Madley.

VAR: Paul Tierney.

Assistant VAR: Con Hatzidakis.

Hooper’s the worst ref in the PL IMO. Although we’re as likely to benefit from his shitness as we are to suffer from it, so hey ho.

And I think that Assistant VAR is the one who elbowed Robertson that time.

Great time to play them however I have the feeling this will be a lot tougher than we expect. They’ve got some quick players on transition so we’ll need to be careful not to commit too many forward.

Who’s their quick players? Diallo and no one else?

They’ve still got loads of good players. There’s a good team in there somewhere. I don’t buy into the narrative that just because they’ve been off form lately wewill stroll it.

I think the outcome is much more dependent on our mentality. No doubt EH will do his best and I hope our better players set the example early.

Proper football cliche and it is the case for almost every game. But the first goal is massive here, more so than recent weeks.

We have been scoring the first goal often of late and we’ve managed to start scoring early on again. We’re a totally different team when it’s level or we’re ahead.

If they get one early, it’ll settle their crowd and players down and I think they could hurt us on the break if we need to chase the game. If we get one early then I’d be confident of us going onto win by a couple.

Someone on their forum suggested playing Antony at right wing back which would be fun for us

His defensive contributions are fairly decent so it makes some sense. He's just awful in general though.

This is where we're at. There is possibility of Antony starting which is depressing.

Agree with this. First goal is huge, but it also just takes a dodgy sending off or moment of luck to change things for either side.

I'll be over the moon if we beat them, but it is one of the few seasons I'll have gone into this one more in hope than fear. So, hopefully we turn up properly.

But if it does go wrong, I'd trust Howe to get us back on track afterwards - never had more faith in a manager since ... erm ... nope, I've got nothing.

Where does he rank among your worst signings?

Any chance Garnacho and Rashford are back in for this one? Who’s likely to replace Ugarte and Bruno? Our side is pretty set I guess? Trippier to start again?

Have to bring Tino back in. We need someone with pace in our back line. Trippier is fine when you are absolutely dominating the game.
