Is this the first victory at the mouse trap since 2013?? Absolutely brilliant - we are so on the up. Shame about Schar but wow - loving it.

In the league yeah, biffed them 0-3 at the Theatre Of Shite in the League Cup last season though.

Think it's fair to say despite how shit Man U were, we have evolved with the ball when we've got a lead. Far more relaxed, it's so good for our game management I'm loving it.

Is Dubs a part of it? I think so, we use him so much more than we would Pope. Tonali obviously a huge part.

What happened in Isak's interview? My dodgy stream cut off as soon as he spoke.

Wanking over him, and leading with him playing in the CL season in, season out. He's happy and will be playing and is playing his best football with us. Give him the 9 shirt when its available.

He’s not a number 9, let him keep the 14 shirt.

His system is funny. Either control the midfield with no threat or bring on more attackers and let the opponents run riot.

He is not a very good coach.

If he had been brought in to say take over Ipswich and lost 5 or 6 in a row, pundits would be calling for him to go.

It’s huge alarm bells that he thinks 2 CMs is going to work, after ETH has failed with it.

Anyway, for us, superb. Feared we would play within ourselves, but we didn’t. Said it other week, but since we’ve settled on a consistent XI, with the right players in, it’s been clicking. Howe getting us into the groove and I really do believe now that we have changed up our play so levels were low start of season, so we can maintain a high level back end of season which will help with cups too.

We could catch anyone ahead of us except Liverpool. What a tasty way to end the year.

I think we were actually quite comfortable in the second half, I just have toon induced PTSD and can't handle us being ahead.

It's actually pretty jarring, just a routine 0-2 at Old Trafford. Doesn't feel right. But we're proper good at the moment.

I think as soon as he brought Mainoo on to hassle Tonali and Bruno G we were the better side, but that's more likely to be a consequence of you being in cruise control.

You had a decent 15 minutes start of the 2nd half, but bar that Maguire header you created barely nothing. At 2-0 down, you need to do more than just have the ball a bit to say you're the better side, like you said we were in cruise control saving ourselves for Spurs.

The game ended on a whimper, the last 10 minutes should have been nervous viewing for us, having been SO much better first 30 and potentially throwing it away, but at no point was I nervous after 70 or so minutes.

From Red cafe:

Yep, there was a five minute patch in the second half where Newcastle went up a gear, and we couldn’t get the ball off them.

The way the likes of Joelinton, Schaer and Isak brushed off our players was maddening. Men against boys.

The little 1-2 between Tonali and Bruno in the lead up to our goal was lovely! was like passing round those yellow player cutout things you see at training grounds 🤣

Mainoo is carrying an injury. It's the only reason I believe he started with Eriksen and Casemiro. Wouldn't be surprised to see Mainoo miss Sunday now but then Ugarte and Fernandes would be back.

Reckon it should be 2-5 at half time. It was a fully deserved win tbh. Opening half hour if you had said that was Real Madrid against Larne FC it would have been believable.

You for sure should have had a couple today, and your 5 is also on the mark.
