I wonder if Eddie told Dubs if he stayed he'd be first choice until he wasn't playing well if he didn't push for leaving in January.

Was worried about this game all week, and seeing the starting line up I was a bit more worried about it going 5 at the back. But from start to finish, absolutely excellent. Do not remember Dubravka making a difficult save at all, and could easily have had more.

What is with the ball being the culprit? Something Arteta said?

He made a comment about the league cup ball being different to the PL ball when we bent them over at the Emirates.

Very different feeling for me than 2 years ago. Back then reaching the final was an achievement in itself. It is now too, but my mind is much more on winning than being there. I know Eddie and the lads will give it everything and no matter who we play we'll compete.

This basically

Wankers like Arteta make me appreciate Eddie and his level-headedness so much more

Sheesh.

Trossard is absolutely perfect for Trippier so is the tedious side to side passing on the edge of the box of this Arsenal team.

I genuinely can't think of a single other team I'd want him out there defending against.

The formation was a good switch up tonight as they were going to come at us full throttle, but we've beat them the other way twice this season too.

Got to be careful not to get carried away by this match.

I'm not saying indefinitely, but, he really put in the kind of aggressive captain like performance, its what I like, love aggressive no nonsense football. Livramento hasn't really blown me away this season like Hall on the opposite side, and the post was in no way claiming Livramento needs dropping, I just feel Trippier did exactly what we needed, real leadership. 👏🏽
