One of the most galling things about membership is that there's no way to elevate your status as a reward for going to or applying to go to games

You can't get an ST so there's zero chance of giving yourself a better likelihood of getting into cup finals or away games

We've got a completely segregated system and that segregation is based on people's willingness to keep paying for an ST to watch an Ashley owned NUFC

And there's no attempt at all to recognise punters like me and many others who since the ownership changed are forking out a fortune and dedicating loads of effort to get ourselves to games

I don't think we should be at the top of the tree, but I also feel very pissed off that 3 years and thousands of pounds later we're still stuck at the very bottom

Yeah completely, I don't really have an answer but it's rubbish. Wish more than anything that I'd taken up a couple of cheap ST under Ashley. Even keeping the seat empty would've been worth it in hindsight.

Personally I would have done this based purely on cup game attendance and nothing to do with holding a ST, but maybe the numbers would have worked out similar anyway.

I’m in exactly the same boat. Just hope there’s 2-3 together in the lower tier. 😬

Based on there being as many, or more, in the cup scheme as our total allocation, I'd assume well over half our allocation is in pot 2 (either attending all 4 home games or passing on via email rather than transferring). Can imagine there'll be slim pickings in lower tier by pot 3.

I think it’s a bit daft really, as a few people I know just forwarded the email, so it was downloaded with their name on it. It punishes the people who’ve done the correct thing and forwarded it on via supporter number, and in lots of cases paid the price difference from a junior/senior to an adult.

I suppose no matter what they do there’s always going to be someone who misses out.

There’s a group of us who’d like to sit together, but I think a couple will be in category 3 (due to forwarding their Wimbledon ticket). The only way to sit together is to wait 24hrs and pick seats with category 3, which could be a risk if that’s true. 🤔

First three categories will be fine IMO.

I’d imagine though that a few forwarded their ticket(s) for Wimbledon given the short turnaround/notice for that game. Just be a case of queue number at noon on Friday.

If it’s like last time, you’ll be able to see seat availability. So if you have someone in your group in pot 1 then they can just keep an eye on tickets and then act accordingly. Pots 1 to 3 are all guaranteed tickets, so the risk is just whether you’ll be able to sit together.

This, this, this.

@Gregi know you’re not on the Trust board anymore but do you think they’d even entertain the notion of what Bobby, I and others have been saying for 3 years?

Count me in this too. Even just a chat with the powers that be to voice our opinions. Plenty of lucky Jonny come latelys who’ve just struck it lucky with timing too. Not that their voice is any different than mine, just ours seems to be flat out ignored.

It does feel like the club don't give a flying fuck about the members who go to all / most games

We're each paying thousands of quids for tickets every season but get absolutely no recognition for that

The only practical difference between someone like me who by hook or by crook manages to buy a ticket for every game versus someone with an ST, is that they were willing to keep going under Ashley and I wasn't

And for clarity, I have no beef with the ST holders, it's the club I'm pissed off with

I have emailed the Trust, requesting them to hold an open forum, in person, for Trust members to air their views on the Club’s current membership system.

Ive raised this previously at a Trust AGM but nothing happened. I’m putting it in writing this time, and as a lifetime Trust member, I’m hoping it can be the beginning of a discussion point and then through the proper channels, to lobby the Club to create a hierarchical membership system.
