Kanj Posted Wednesday at 18:04 Share Posted Wednesday at 18:04 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ this x 1 billion. the team unity that Howe has fostered, the type of people they green light to sign, its why when the club is united we can do just about anything. Kanj Posted Wednesday at 18:07 Share Posted Wednesday at 18:07 Slot stood at touchline and slapped every hand of our players and staff on the walk up to get the trophy, fyi. thought that was class. I thought the liverpool support, players, and staff post match were absolutely sound. I will never forget how they acted in defeat to us on Sunday. Kanj Posted Wednesday at 19:12 Share Posted Wednesday at 19:12 (edited) Lifting a major trophy for NUFC was just something I dreamed would happen, pretended in video games, or outside playing in the yard on my own because, while we pushed for a trophy under KK and SBR, it never felt like we were ever going there during Mike Ashley's tenure. After the takeover the hope began and you could dream again, but it felt like every time we took a step forward there was some new rule or injury or our rotten luck holding us back. And then, boom, Sunday happened. half past 6p and every black and white shirt from Wembley to the furthest supporter away hunkered over their phone, TV, radio etc let out that joy, probably cried, and hugged who ever was near them. Sunday was the dream come true, what this is all about, it made every bloody high and low before then simply worth it. I was watching it at home with my son who's 7 and finally has started to fall in love with football. Mostly because of Alexander Isak. This game and this win pushed him over the edge for a lifelong love affair with Newcastle methinks. A lovely moment to share with him after a rough few months after me and the wife split up after 13 years. There's definitely healing in this feeling and. I've been easily irritated and not in the best mood for a while but when I realized we actually would go on and win it something changed within me. I fucking love this club, this manager and this group of players. Expand Been through a very rough separation in 2024 as well, so I have a very similar story.
