Newcastle United vs. Brentford: 02/04/25 @ 19:45 (No UK TV)

I'm always like this anyways...but genuinely feel that we'll hit some amazing form now. I feel we have a really professional attitude and the one thing that blocks us is confidence, or it has been. Some games we just rock up and look like we haven't had the same swagger. After this cup win, the parade and a bouncing St James' on Wednesday I just feel they'll be hungry as hell to have more of that same feeling.

I don’t want to get carried away but we could pull off an insane run if we carry the confidence and intensity. One match at a time. Let’s run them over Wednesday.

all of you heading to the match Wednesday, I know you’ll be right up for it. Bring that noise my bros!

A repeat of that 9 game winning run from earlier in the season would do very nicely indeed

Reckon they’ll show off the cup before kick off?

Not for me, all said and done now after yesterday. Total concentration from here til the end of the season.

Final was two weeks ago today, from tomorrow game face on.

That was one of the most inspirational, wildest things I've ever seen in sports and I am thousands of miles away. It's now over. Period.

It's done. There are games to be played. It's in the record books which get old and dusty with yellowing pages. Move forward.

I really don’t get that line of thinking? Not taking the first home game after making history ‘seriously?!’

I don’t even fully buy into players half-arsing it leading into the cup final. But I imagine even subconsciously it will play a part. This is almost the opposite of that.

If anything, the players should be playing with more freedom after a historic win and getting into Europe. Along with less fear of injury or suspension.

Big Joe and Big Dan Burn need to go steady for another 4 games, mind!

+1. I think yesterday lets them get it out of the system rather than say waiting until after the season is over.

There’ll be such an atmosphere at the match that I agree I think we’ll win but Brentford are an awkward side and I don’t think it’ll be as straightforward as some might think.

I do think Howe will have them really well prepared and focussed for these last 10 games.

Howe mentioned the need to now concentrate on the rest of the season in his speech on stage on Saturday, that should say it all about how focused he'll have the team. No complacency.

How pumped can they be being told that they are now Champions!

West Ham, Brighton, Bournemouth and Fulham, at home, levels of pre match optimism kicking around at the moment before playing a very decent Brentford side.

Could do with some of that Arsenal and Liverpool pre match pessimism.

Champions now marra! :indi:
