Two incidents in Premier League games today where the keeper has jumped into a stationary player and won themselves a foul. Utterly pathetic. Don’t worry, there is some technology in place to ensure that errors are rectified. It is definitely not used to analyse goals to death and find reasons to disallow them. Just fucking get rid of it. Yorkie Posted Saturday at 20:08 Share Posted Saturday at 20:08 Elbows him full blast in the temple and VAR's like "nah that's fine." That's exactly the sort of shit it should be picking up on, if anything. Stuff the ref might not realistically spot, rather than re-refereeing incidents than the on-pitch guy has already made a call on...

Palace given a pen, the likes of which would never get awarded against the cartel in their home games, thankfully missed, Bruno penalized for a total non-foul today that cost us a goal and Tonali brutally and cynically elbowed with nothing given. What is the point of it? Officiating has never been worse.

They hide behind “clear and obvious” but then take nearly 5 minutes looking at that Palace penalty, and then the clear elbow to Tonali today isn’t even looked at by the ref. I understand that there are some horrendous mistakes made in other leagues, but fucking hell, they are forgivable. VAR is pure corruption, a waste of money and a waste of time. Danh1 Posted Saturday at 20:20 Share Posted Saturday at 20:20 On another note. When did we last have a 100% record against the 3 promoted sides? I can’t think of any.
The Butcher Posted Saturday at 20:39 Share Posted Saturday at 20:39 78% possession today. Highest of any team this season.

Anderson Posted Saturday at 21:27 Share Posted Saturday at 21:27 Just seen the replay of the disallowed goal for the first time, dear me. Refereeing in this league is a joke, cannot remember the last time they weren't a talking point in our games.

The Prophet Posted yesterday at 08:05 Share Posted yesterday at 08:05 How was the atmosphere? Sounded like a friendly on the comms.
Sibierski Posted yesterday at 08:19 Share Posted yesterday at 08:19 Watching the game in person up in the gods, what was telling for me was how often we turned down the pass into central areas, and why it reinforces for me we need a CM/Someone that can take the ball on half turn between the lines. Willock was often in those spaces, around Isak at times, but we wouldn’t punch the ball to him (either tactical / players didn’t have confidence / Willock didn’t confidently want it) so it would end up having to go wide. During first half up till Isak move LW to get the red, it felt all predictable. Thankfully Ipswich are awful, but against competent defensive sides that sit off it still feels we lack the tools to create good chances in open play. TK-421
Ref Watch on SSN earlier, Stephen Warnock says its baffling Bruno's 'goal' was disallowed. Gallagher reckons its disallowed because Bruno turned his back on the keeper, which makes it look more of a barge. Yorkie
Pathetic, powderpuff goalkeeping, like. Saved from the embarrassment of one of the worst howlers you're ever likely to see by a keeper. If the ref gave the goal there isn't a chance in hell the VAR is overturning it.
nemtizz
Bruno knows exactly what he’s doing so in no way is it cowardly The ref is the only person on planet earth that thinks it’s a foul.
Lush Vlad
Bruno goes to stand still, hold his ground and make a nuisance of himself. He is then gently pushed into where the keeper is trying to jump. With the Ipswich defender for some unknown reason deciding this was a good idea Sort of reminds me of that disallowed own goal against Palace last season/season before. Where the foul was given against Willock. When the Palace player shoved him in mid air, meaning he clattered into the keeper no pen. But it was a foul on the keeper by Willock, apparently. It didn't cost us in the end and I think the penalty decision was ridiculously soft. So it kind of evens out. It's pathetic the amount of protection keepers get. The Leicester keeper against West Ham got away with a similar howler and they didn't overrule it.
