Remember one season Sky even had a game on Sky Showcase or some other non-sport channel.

Cunts only want to show two this time around.

But don’t worry, next season we get a whopping 215 games on Sky.

38 Liverpool, 38 Man Utd, 38 Chelsea, 38 Arsenal, 25 Spurs.

Leave 38 for the rest of the peasant clubs and the charge dodgers that are Man City.

But would prefer for us not to be on TV for the stupid reason that the team may perform better knowing there isn't a big audience than those in the ground, as there will be some pressure - Everton aren't just coming for the sight seeing.

I don't think it matters, Man United were called United through their dominant years under Sir Alex, it was a thing that stuck for that generation, nobody refers to Leeds as United either, nor do people call Bradford City, "City", but if someone says City now, most people will think of Man City.

Four decades I've supported Newcastle, I'm mid 40s, nobody really calls us United, nor do they call Leeds "United", there's 14 teams with united, Sheffield United seem to be the first if were being truly pedantic

Every justification of this shite patter frames how our club should be referred to from the prospective of everyone else, not us. ‘People don’t call us United’ FFS. We do! It’s our club, we decide what it’s called. Letting other people define what your name is is soft-cockery of the most flaccid order. Pull your socks up.

Oh no are Sky showing a pointless game. I'll have to suffer the superior international feed. How unfortunate.

 aye. Absolutely bizarre that shit like this happens and then the Premier League and Sky are shocked at people using alternative means to watch the games.

No reason every match this weekend couldn't be televised.

I'm hoping Everton are just coming because they're contractually obliged to fulfil the fixture.

Explain I'm curious why you think it should be law, what do you call Leeds or Oxford ?

PM me if you like, I'd rather not pollute the thread.

Fuck Sky in particular for the Liverpool v Palace choice. Nothing game other than to do some more Scouse fluffing for Redknapp and Carragher.

So in the UK, there is no legal means of watching Newcastle play a decisive final game of the season with a champions league spot on the line?

Utterly ridiculous if correct.

It’ll be on the plus thing, surely? Outrageous if not televised. I’m in the States for this one and I’ve had it confirmed it will be shown, but I swear to God I will cancel my Sports package in protest if not on in UK. Diabolical.

I was just going to post that Sky have more than enough channels to actually cover every game if they so desired, but certainly more than the current advertised number.

It's like they are trying to make a case for piracy by not showing this.

And if we're being honest, surely every fan deserves to be able to watch the last game of the season? Even if you think the 3 pm blackout still makes sense, locking so many people out of watching their team in the final game of the season doesn't make any sense at all?

You probably know this, but you can subscribe to Amazon, Sky and TNT in the UK and still not be able to watch a good chunk of the games you might want. One of the reasons I don't mind not subscribing to any of them.
