Not that there’s any merit whatsoever to the pseudo-race science guff being peddled by a certain poster, but it’s doubly laughable given that Wissa was born and raised in France.

Too many meatballs? Swedes love their meatballs.

Gawd knows but he generally looks gassed after 60 minutes and after that I think there is a larger risk of injury playing tired

When we have to evaluate something based on limited information, you can only rely on trends and identify risks behind

when you have to make decision and you have the resources, you should try your best to grasp more information to clear the above risk

in Wissa case, certainly the club can check about Wissas metabolic age during medical and also check about his lifestyle and diet. Just like some suggest we should have check Tonali’s background and discover his gambling habit. That’s something the club should do

So go back to your question. I don’t agree to make decision just based on generalisation, but I agree to identify potential risk because that’s simply maths. People from same region tends to have similar culture and lifestyle, grow up in similar environment. Another example I can give you is in China, particular province, due to diet (mainly marinated salty fish) the local residents tends to have the highest Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma rate across the region. I won’t say people from that province must bear this disease, however it’s definitely good for all parties that those people should have regular body check re their nasal conditions. Do you get it now?

Please can you provide some evidence that suggests that African/South American players peak earlier than their European equivalent? Otherwise what was the point of your post.

That's even worse, that means he's a lazy, grumpy, hairy prick whose career will be curtailed due to excessive wine, cigarette and cheese consumption

They should have just kept it as a porn repository like it was in the 90’s

As soon as it was used for other purposes, shit got fucked up

Shit got fucked when it was a porn repo- if you watched the right type of porn.

African and South American players tends to drop their form much earlier than European. Remember Cisse?

you can’t expect Wissa to keep his form after 30. 3 years service for 30m. That’s it.

What absolute shite.

Everyone remembers how shit Drogba and Karim Benzema were after 30. And yeh Wissa is as African as Benzema or 75% of the French national team.

If we were signing Lookman for £10m more, I imagine a lot of the skeptics would be far more enthusiastic. The two have very similar profiles, and in my opinion, Wissa is actually the better player and just a year older.

I also don’t think there’s a significant gap between him and Mbeumo- a player everyone would have understandably been thrilled about us signing-  and he went for twice the price. Yeah, yeah he’s like 3 years younger tbf but still.

This. There is absolutely an element of Wissa not being seen as a glamourous enough name by some people in here/on socials. For someone who will likely come in knowing he will be behind Isak, whilst still getting a lot of game time due to the sheer number of games we'll be playing next season, he is the absolute best option.

Think he’s a great option and hope we get him ahead of Spurs!
