Not going to absolve Wissa of blame but if he was told that he could go for circa £25m and we’ve bid over that value then I can understand why he feels wronged. In a way that Isak has never been. Isak has been treated like a good here and has three years left on his contract playing for a team in the CL. There are commonalities but Isak’s behaviour is another level of dickhead

Cuts both ways. Isak is also a better player with more leverage who's up for a much larger pay hike if he moves.

Yes, there's no daylight between the two. I just think that if we're going to be damaged by a cunty move, we should be able to benefit from one as well.

If you’d been promised something and your boss reneged on it how would you feel? Something as significant as a promotion or opportunity to go on secondment etc as there aren’t real parallels for us as we’re not contracted in the same ways as footballers.

Refusing to play again is very aggressive from Wissa but I can understand why he’d be extremely angry. With Isak, his behaviour is entirely disproportionate to how he’s been treated

I think wissa got promised that when toney left for Saudi. That he could leave for a certain fee to keep him sweet. Shouldn't promise stuff if your gonna be a cunt. Wissa is in the right.

Maybe wizz air is annoyed because we have bid above what Brentford told him they’d accept but now they’ve said he needs to wait because they need a replacement first, but he doesn’t want to wait and is getting antsy thinking we’ll walk away.

Got rid of most their talent and manager and the one player they promised a move to they're forcing to stay [emoji38]

He's rightfully pissed off to be the one left behind and at his age probably feels like this maybe the only chance he gets for a move like that to a club of this size and in the Champions League.

The Standard reporting that he's returned to train with the team, while Sky reporting that he's turned up to the training ground but not training with the team

There clearly is. One has been promised something to leave supposedly whereas another has been promised a new contract discussion supposedly.

Brentford only have a leg to stand on morally if that conversation was based on a select fees clubs or if it was either or between him and Mbuemo out the door first but not both. We’ll never know.

Again with Isak we’ll never truly know but it’s one thing arguing for a pay rise pre mid contract it’s another then insisting on a release clause and the club taking a year to evaluate it as to afford the rise they probably needed to achieve UCL first.

Either way I’m not a fan of both their behaviour. Particularly Isak’s as it’s not really a case of being at club with limited ambitions. We’ve made UCL 2 out of 3 in his time no different to Liverpool. We’ve won the league cup beating Liverpool no different to Liverpool. Possibly had better cup runs in general though not checked. Liverpool’s almost uncontested (probably a bit unfair) league win last season aside I don’t see a lot of difference except £. Both have good forward lines, midfields and ageing defence in the middle with two young full backs and very good GK’s.

Hopefully things will look clearer Wednesday when I guess they all return for training at Benton.

Football is a short career as we know, your only an injury away from ending it, if the guy only has one year left then the club know they're backing a losser regardless, so may as well move on at a fair price and bring in another up and coming player.Isak wise 3yrs to go he's the one or his agent is, that's on the losing side, we can just sit back and relax , for those 3 yrs if we have to, he's cost us what £20m a year nowt in real terms.
