Jackson - who never showed any desire to join NUFC. Apposed to a player who was desperate to join us, and could be scoring goals for the next three, maybe four seasons.....

There were reports Jackson was interested in coming. How are players supposed to show they want to come here? What Wissa did was shit.

You can't compare deals like this 30 years apart.

Use a market specific index and then you can from a pure financial point of view. The Footbal Observatory report says that inflation in prem market is around 12% (recently over last decade). 6m over 20 years at 12% is 57m (i think). Les was 30 years ago so its probably a fair comparison.

Being reported that Brentford also have a 25% sell on clause. Who the fuck negotiated this deal.

Sell on clauses apply to net profit on sale and so it would be irrelevant for Wissa given his age. Would be amazed if this is true.

LOL Wissa is worth more than 30-35m. 2 years left on his contract and one of the top scorers in EPL last season. Yes he will be 29 on Wednesday but I don't think it is unrealistic that he could give us 4-5 good years. Plenty of players play at a top level well into their mid-30s. And at the end of the day, needs must and I think we got a very good Wilson's replacement

Let’s hope he performs like you expect him to

Does also give us the option to play Woltemade off him which could be interesting and might help relieve that lack of a creative midfielder and let Bruno and Tonali sit deeper to cover.

However not sure if we would want to be starting them together regularly as that defeats the point of depth really as we wouldn't have a sub option or rotation option other than Osula.

With football you cannot. Prices are all over the place.

Depends on the agreement. I doubt Brentford have negotiated a clause which is worthless to them given they had the leverage.
