Mattoon
He's like a prime Cisse, his first touch and close control is quality and he is rapid, it's going to be great having a player that scores his 1v1's too. Some great selfless plays in that reel too, unlike a certain selfish striker that shan't be named.

Struck me as odd that ”he who shall not be named” occasionally looked absolutely gutted when a team mate scored and hadn’t laid it on for him. I get that if the goal was missed, but during a goal scored rather than immediately peeling away to go celebrate with his team mates he would be frozen for a second or 3 gesticulating that the pass to him wasn’t made! Who gives a fuck we’ve just scored.

Or do you mean the other Cisse. With the dodgy hair?

On the ball less so Watching those highlights, Wissa can actually dribble which wasn't Cisse's forte. I'll be honest overall I do not see the comparison outside of his ability to get a shot off quickly off both feet.
Checko
When we signed Cisse I seem to remember someone from Freiburg, or a German pundit, saying he wasn't very fast but 'fast enough'. For me Cisse was a great instinctive poacher, brilliant at being in the right spot in the penalty box and first time finishes. His general touch, hold up play, dribbling wasn't that good though if I remember. That's why he was so bad when he was put on the RW in his second year (I seem to remember he scored within 15 minutes the first time he was played there and then never did anything of note there ever again). Wissa's played a lot more on the wings and I think generally is more comfortable in all round play/dribbling etc. Looks like in France he was mainly a LW, with occasional CF then when he came to Brentford he split between LW and CF initially and then when he established himself became a CF covering on the wings if necessary. Those goals seriously piss me off. Forget the shite pass from Barnes, what is Schar gaining from backing off like that? Not saying that's something only he does, loads of PL defenders do it, but why don't they stand their ground rather back off into shooting territory? Get in his face and make him either skin you or play a pass ffs.
Mattoon
For clarity, the comparison to Cisse I was making was the quick shooting from any range with accuracy and power. Anything he touched in those first few months just flew in like a homing missile.

Stottie
Prime Cisse, that 11/12 half season, was a nonstop stream of outrageous goals, all while missing what felt like every 1 on 1 he had with the keeper. It was better than Isak's hot streak last season.
Abacus
I do think that even if he gets off to a slow start here, that at least he'll benefit the team shape anyway by playing like a proper forward. Not to mention he could be a good example for Osula in forward play. I agree he needs minutes, but he also needs to be around a senior striker if he's to make it as a CF As for Woltemade, I have no idea what to expect from this guy So exciting so find out. Ba was great that first half, Cisse the second, HBA, Cabaye and Tiote in the centre, Coloccini was excellent too. Likeable team and all quite young. It all clicked. Pity it didn't last long. sushimonster85
Reckon he will chip in with 15+ this season. With Woltemessi adding an additional 7-10 as he beds in. Also have a feeling Wissa is outscoring both Sesko and the rat this season. Isak is going to need to adap to having wide players who's first thought isn't to look to get the ball into him. Salah on the right and potentially Ekitike on the left. Neither have the Murphy mindset of actively looking to create chances for other people over themselves. andycap
He's like Andy Cole in my opinion watch how he takes his shots the technique Is the absolute same. his goal against arsenal was how Cole used to improvise to score goals.

Wissa/Woltemade vs Isak/Ekitike vs Delap/Pedro vs Cunha/Sesko Should be very interesting to see which of these combos comes out on top. All new tandems and all players were connected with Newcastle in some form or fashion this summer.

Delap/Pedro and Cunha/Sesko have significantly worse coaching / tactical setups than Eddie, even if their quality is equal.
