Wished all kinds of injury on the outgoing striker and now the guy coming in is injured before even kicking a ball for the club.

And on top of that, so is the key midfielder we brought in for depth.

Classic.

‘Wissa in match day squad for Man City away.’

That’s usually how it goes for us.

And the process starts.

Asked if Wissa would be back for Barcelona on Thursday, Howe said: “Yeah, I don't know currently as I sit here. I think he'll go away for tests and maybe see a specialist to see. So unfortunately, I can't give you that update.”

Still not even certain on the damage yet. So everyone brace themselves.

People will say it’s overblown, but I maintain it was dumb to allow him to start both games. Was a freak one, but he shouldn’t be in that situation, 45 at most each game.

We was in driving seat in dictating to him what our expectations are for this break and we have to start acting like a big club in that way.

This season just feels cursed so far. We've had the Isak hand grenade during the summer, rotten luck in the games so far, and now Isak's replacement who seemed virtually indestructable prior to the signing needing to see a specialist.

We just need a win tomorrow to give us some breathing space otherwise we are going to have a hard slog making up the points on the pace setters.
