Nucasol
I hope we tell DR Congo to fuck off on the November internationals. We get him back for West Ham, we get a maximum of 2 more matches and he has to travel and waste two more weeks with those sackless twats who’ll probably flog him again. Menace
I'm starting to believe the rumours to be honest and we're slowly being drip fed on setbacks
WinstonFC
Mad thing is he he pushed for us to play champions league and his injury in some capacity might contribute to him not playing in it this season or next season.
Mattoon
This is grim, I'm just glad Woltemade has hit the ground running in some capacity and Osula has proven to be useful this season.

The pitch did look dodgy (I watched about an hour in between other stuff) but equally it could have been a fitness thing, as he'd not played competitively before those fixtures. If so, that's kind of on him. Isak also not really showing much at Liverpool yet. They were both stupid for downing tools and ruining their pre-season. Erikse
Missing so many Champions League games thanks to his national team not caring one bit about his health. Bet he is happy with them.
Miggys First Goal
Can we force him to not go to AFCON?

Elric
Hopefully he's as willing to employ snide tactics, in being too 'injured' to go to the AFCON, as he was getting his move here 👀 Edited October 3, 2025 by Elric

Erikse
Hope they lose in the WC qualifiers due to him not being there. What does 2nd place from the qualifiers get you? Play off?

Erikse
i'm sure DR Congo will ease him in at AFCON if it's right after his return. "So you can run for 10 seconds without much pain? Allright you're ready, 90 min 2 times a week for you." Edited October 3, 2025 by Erikse
TBG
So he could've been back a lot sooner if we hadn't sent him to a specialist? Piss poor decision from the club yet again.

Menace
On top of that when he does return he'll be incredibly rusty and will need some time to get back to speed again, that's a lot of pressure on Nick Edited October 3, 2025 by Menace
The Prophet
Gutted for him, but at least Big Nick has hit the ground running.
Decky
There's absolutely no chance he should be allowed to go on the November international break like. If comes back and we're easing him back to fitness and he just goes to them straight after it? No hope

We would most definitely be if we started attempting to ban players from going to major international tournaments if they were fit to play. We’ve got to accept that whilst none of us give a shiny shite about how the likes of DR Congo get on in the AFCON, players like Wissa are absolutely desperate to participate. So unless there’s a genuine medical reason why they can’t play, we just have to suck it up.
