442 with Wissa and Big Nick up front is worth a try next week

That was worth a try months ago. Howe is too stubborn to deviate from his way - if it miraculously happens by this point its still not a good look on him for how late he's tried something different

Was surprised he's even subbed them both on before 80 mins today.

Getting £120m for Isak and blowing £110m of it on Elanga and Wissa is gonna be an all timer. Both have had plenty of time to show something, Elanga especially, and shown nothing.

Both had performed better on the dance floor

His miss was inexcusable but I thought we looked more functional up top with him as a focal point, with Woltemade behind him.

I may be dead wrong, just my opinion, and it doesn't mean he's suddenly a good signing or anything.

We needed someone to get on the end of stuff and he did it. Maybe not very successfully but we looked toothless before that.

I’m not sure I agree with the miss being inexcusable. He’s having to volley the ball that’s coming over his shoulder. Isak misses that last season and I think our view would be ‘Annoying but he’ll score the next one’. Problem for Wissa is that comes after four months of nothingness. I actually thought he looked fairly decent, and the run for the chance (peeling off the shoulder of the defender, right on the edge of the line) is exactly what we need more of.

I’d give him and Big Wolte just behind him the rest of the season. I’d also play Big Willie RWF.

Watching it again a few times it's not quite the gilt edged chance I thought it was but I still think he should have done better.

That's exactly what I mean, it was refreshing for a short while to have someone with proper strikers movement up front, he was a poacher at Brentford and scored a lot of goals, that hasn't just disappeared overnight, he hasn't played consistently for ages, give him a chance with Woltemade behind him and I think the goals would come.

haven't seen him get a clean pass or shot away yet on either foot. Quite embarrassing.

This is still valid, he still hasn't

I think he will be peddled off to Saudi in the summer - at a big loss.

Break even. Think it's been arranged for a while. Maybe even before the transfer happened (hence us not arsed about paying an inflated fee)

He just needed to wait another moment for the ball to drop, a fraction of a second.

Easier said than done in a packed stadium of 60 thousand people.

So yes it is not inexcusable, you're right.

However 55 million pounds is a lot of money.

It’s just that he skied it. Get it on target, get it close… skies it.

He didn't even need to lace it like he did. The side foot finish to pass it to Raya's left was just the ticket.
