At least we drove the price up for them, I’ll take that and move on with a smile on my face regarding this one. I’m gutted we lost out on Ekitike and Pedro. Slightly disappointed we missed out on Mbeumo but not too fussed. However, this one is a dodged bullet

We're in the same boat on this, I think. Except for actually not being that gutted about Ekitke is the one difference.

Unless Sesko ends up deciding to come here himself, in that unlikely event then my opinion will change a fair bit as a couple of red flags would drop away.

If Man U hadn't bid, we'd bought him and he turned out good, I'd be waiting for the next pantomime.

It's not possible and it's by design. Absolutely mental this isn't discussed more.

I was more in on Sesko than Ekitike, felt his ceiling esp in PL is higher

Not convinced by Ekitike still, not seen enough yet and he's not done enough either
Sesko is a genuine wonderkid, even Pedro is not same tier

When we do finally walk away from this one we need to sort out a striker within 48 hours. Sick to fuck of these drawn out transfers. Move down the pecking order and bring in players who aren’t the finished article but need good coaching, and who are desperate to improve and come to a club like ours. The players are out there, we’ve signed them in recent windows

I honestly think this is the plan. Eventually we will have enough evidence to show this and the PL will have to take action or we fetch the legals in.

If it’s any consolation this price was probably a big over pay and much more risky than Ekitike.

Not all of those are positive stats. More shots? Ekitike was in a much better team. Higher xG can be read either way. Didn't Ekitike underscore his xG more than anyone in the major European leagues? xG per shot being higher suggests he was missing good chances too. Touches in the box can be indicative of playing for a team that scored 15 more league goals last season.
