Jacobs reporting he's picked Manchester

Would be funny if he had mind. They bid and within the hour he's picked them after humming and hawing over our offer for more than a week.

Just was wondering why I’m spending so long getting wound up about things I don’t really care about. This must be what it’s like to use Twitter.

The precise reason I came off it last week

At least we drove the price up for them, I’ll take that and move on with a smile on my face regarding this one. I’m gutted we lost out on Ekitike and Pedro. Slightly disappointed we missed out on Mbeumo but not too fussed. However, this one is a dodged bullet

Can't play them all, someone's gonna get upset.

I think the lad is tailor made for English football tbh - but I think he’ll fall to pieces at Amorim’s Man Utd

Think people need to adjust their context to current situation. Is it loads better than Ashley days, absolutely.

But in current landscape, when competing with these sides, is this window and our continually strike outs embarrassing and borderline negligence,  yes. We don’t always have to compare to Ashley days to make things better, we’ve clearly moved on from that era and in current one we’re striking well below what we’ve been doing before and that should be rightly called out for what it is.

5th August. We have Elanga and a goalkeeper on loan.

I'd be more embarrassed if we were smoothly signing shit that isn't good enough for where we are and want to be.

But if he's agreed deals with both clubs, why would Leipzig pick the smaller bid?

Their business model is picking up the best young potential, developing it and then selling for a bigger fee.

"Sesko trusted us when he signed and he ended up getting his dream move to Man Utd" is a better look for them when they next go shopping than dictating to him that he sign for us for the sake of 5 million euros or so.
