Kanj
based on his goals and assists across all comps at his age over last two seasons with varying tactics and such the price seems pretty damn fine to me.

Those are fantastic stats any way you look at it. just so people see this again - I’m certain many haven’t actually watched him play. He’s a raw player with a ton still to develop but he’s got the strength, pace, and height/physical tools to become an absolute force in English football -if he comes here he’s coming to the perfect place to see him further develop. If Isak is to go calibre of second striker is just as vital though as good as sesko may well be not expecting the isak level of output from last year. We had no goals coming from Wilson so getting a second striker if wissa is no longer certain is just as important to lighten the load/burden without affecting overall output from the forwards as a whole. Totally agree. He's the same age as Osula, not the finished package but neither is Hall, Tino, Gordon etc and you've seen their improvements. That's not the only reason it's a perfect place to come. I said the same Friday, our wingers are ideal for a player like wor Benny.

Strangely, the people I've seen discussing Sesko have said that last season at Leipzig he didn't kick on and had a poor season. But his output in terms of goal involvements was actually higher than the previous season, and Leipzig had a bad season as a team too. These numbers are actually pretty impressive for a 21/22 year old striker
Kanj
This deal, at present, is what i assume Eddie feels is best for NUFC heading into next season with 4 comps. Whether that will include Alex or not shouldn’t really impact how we feel about this, in a vacuum we’re looking to pay our club record for a #9 who had 39 goals in all comps aged 20-22 across 2 seasons. He turns 23 next May. Age is on his side. Edited August 4, 2025 by Kanj

Guest
Isak will be gone one way or another, if not this summer than January. Anyone saying Sesko is average (or not a top talent) are just sitting on the fence in case he ends up elsewhere. He’s not a like for like replacement. But if the Saudi league are signing Nunez, perhaps there is an agreement between PIF and the dippers that they will bid whatever it is we’re looking for Isak.. the added money will set us up nicely in terms of PSR for a few seasons and although a bummer, sometimes we need to take a step back to make a leap forward. We need another very good forward though, someone to be the focal point. Sesko isn’t that type of player (at this point in time)

But given the two clubs at the table (the last two with the prom invite and no date) we are getting bent over. It is what it is.

Nothing to bring off the bench except and ineffective Wilson to change things. Manager himself admitted new players bring new dynamic to the group freshen things up and provide competition and pushing existing players. Not taking owt away last season was excellent but we had some poor games and results along the way and "limped" to 5th thanks to no less manu Remember it well, the season before as well has spells like that as well. Ketsbaia
I know it doesn't mean Isak is necessarily going (Pedro and Trafford would've been £90m, similar to Sesko and Ramsdale), but I'm finding it hard to get too excited about this - overspending while we possibly sell our superstar. Guest
Had purposely stayed away from watching the compilations on YT, but bit the bullet. Id liken him more to CR7 than say, Isak.. could be wrong but he looks made for the premier league
timeEd32
1. Sign Sesko 2. Tell Liverpool you'll consider legitimate Isak offers 3. Bid £45-50m for Guehi and tell Parish if there is a single mention of this anywhere the deal is off 4. If Liverpool hears about it because Parish is a weasel tell them hands off or no Isak deal 5. Sign Guehi 6. Reject all Isak offers and line up in a 4-4-2 against them with Sesko and Isak up front.
