Todays prediction:

Sesko gets done

Isak doesn't turn up to training amid Liverpool bid accepted

Isak likely goes, but I think we're a long way off a bid being accepted. There's at least a £40 million gap in valuation.

I know selling Isak is rough, especially to Liverpool (the biggest pack of cunts around) but ultimately, what we're doing here is what a lot of people have said we've needed to do for a while to negate PSR issues, buying someone who's stock is relatively low compared to their talent, and than selling high, while extracting maximum value out of the "asset", and just being better when it comes to player trading.

It just hurts as he's our third most important player.

Pretty sad that I can’t really enjoy a class new signing because it means Liverpool win.

At this point we don't know that Sesko will sign or that we will sell Isak to Liverpool. Still quite a lot needs to happen for the latter in any case.

People saying Sesko record not impressive but hasn't he got a better goal ratio than Isak at same age. Looks to have all the attributes to be class in Premier league and bags of potential.

Which striker apart from Ronaldo Nazario has had a great goal record at 22? Drogba wasn't proven before going to Chelsea at 26, van Nistlerooy wasn't proven before going to Man United at 25. Henry was considered surplus to requirements at Juventus.

Even Batistuta's goal record wasn't great until he was 25/26 - he only scored 16 in Serie B.

Haaland and Mbappe did. That's what I mean that people mention his goal record but still incredibly young and showing bags of potential that hopefully Howe can help develop

In general strikers having elite returns at 22 is very rare, obviously some exceptions but it doesn't happen very often.

Having nearly 40 goals the past two seasons at 22 is very, very good IMO. I can see why the sort of money being talked about for him is happening.

Who would you have above him as more important?

Let's say he does join. It's not like he needs to score at Isak levels anyway.

If he can keep his output roughly from Leipzig and we have Wissa or similar, we'd break even or do better without having a dead weight at 65mins every game standing around the oppositions half.

If we sign Sesko, you will see a fair bit more positivity around the place. Even with Isak saga going on, Elanga, Ramsdale and Sesko is at least getting somewhere.

those 3 in as comp for a firing Isak is stagnation at best, regression to be totally honest

Bruno and Tonali personally, but thats probably just a personal thing as I tend to think Midfield is where games are won and lost the most.

Sandro Tonali is the best thing about our football club.

Andy Howe is a close second.

The bloke with the incredible Barnet seems to think Leipzig will accept our offer.

I think that's already a given by this point. There still remains a question if Sesko himself will accept it, he could decide to hold out for Man U's lesser offer.
